“What have you done with my armor?”
Looking at you Helljumper, why does it have white lines all over it that you can’t customize? And why the hell does the feet first variant have a smiley face on it!? I’d be happier with Virgil like a reference to Halo 3:ODST.
BTW, there IS custom armor in the game, 343i just won’t let us use it. Like buck’s Helljumper has a dark urban camo to it with storage bags on his calves.

True…would love to have a more ODST-looking variant with urban camo…this one…looks much differently than how I THOUGHT it looked. x.x (big fingers typo. x.x)
I agree and more. The customization is atrocious when it comes to picking an armor or emblem color. Want a cool, unique design of your own? Well screw you, half the armor will be white and you can’t do jack about it.
And Recon RSO? Hope you love teal stripes that look like a texture glitch.
I like the quote from Cortana in halo 4 I believe.
“They don’t care about you-- they replaced you! Blast it!” They dont care and just replace it with w/e or how they see fit.
What really irks me, is that people knew how bad-A it looked and 343i went “lulz” lets just troll them and put a smiley face on it
I’d settle for at least being able to choose the secondary and maybe third color on my emblem, instead of the six or so preset variations you get to choose from for each color…kind of rediculous

Or instead of either of those, 343i could have done a skull painted helmet, like Dutch’s helmet in ODST. Because that crap was awesome.
The whole emblems as REQs is ridiculous IMO. As is the overall aesthetics of the 343 armor sets, some do look good though and I actually like the Soldier(?) torso. I’m not sure why we can’t customize basic elements that we’ve been able to change since Halo 3 though.

It looks like a chicken egg with a smile on the bottom half. At least, to me it does.

Looks like a bomb or something but I could see how it looks like a smiley face.
What annoys me about the customization is that Bungie pretty much perfected it in Halo Reach at least 5 years ago. There wasn’t a need for 343 to streamline it when they could have just stuck with the system made by Reach and simply built on it. Not only could it have been perceived as respect for the former owners but it would have worked out a lot better than the options currently available.

Wanna know where they could have been at in customization if they had stuck to the Reach system? Cosmetic trophies to show off in pvp. Like maybe a chest piece wrapped in Kig yar teeth necklaces, an elite’s energy dagger on the gauntlet, a grunt’s methane tank strapped to the back or maybe the armor spikes of the hunter on our own backs or a utility belt made of hardlight. Hell they could have even sold these as mircotransactions or dlc, the Headhunter Armor pack and people would have bought it. It sounds a little bit like Destiny but it works for them with showing off characters and I could only imagine the stuff machinma (Spelled it wrong whatever) could have done with it. It would have given our spec-ops elite spartans more room for personality and uniqueness. You can’t even argue the logic behind it since Spartans apparently go out rocking pizza covered guns.
I do hate a lot of stripes on some of the armor. Especially the Strider helmet, which I love, but I feel the stripes make me a headshot magnet in Warzone or BTB with the neon bright colors.

Well, also, the only armor that was done decently well by 343i is the MJOLNIR Mk. VI Gen-2 Custom that the Master Chief wears in the Campaign. Especially in Halo 4, I liked that armor in the campaign and was fairly disappointed when I beat that game on legendary and instead, I got the Halo 3 version.
That’s why I want THIS. Nothing fancy, nothing cluttered, just a simple set up for all the armour sets.
