To put some of the customization into perspective of how bad it is

mark 7 has
-11 torso attachments, 8 of em are only in the store and cant be unlocked any other way and im pretty sure most of them cost at least 10 bucks, though im pretty sure most of em are in 20 bucks bundle (also one of em is literally just a knife on the torso, which was literally the default option in halo reach)
–9 helmets, 5 of em store exclusives
-shoulders same story, 11 in total, 8 are store exclusive in 10 to 20 bucks bundles
-knees are all store exclusive
aint even gonna bother lookin at visors and coatings cause theres so damn many of em, but im pretty sure least half of em are store exclusives

keep in mind this is just for 1 core, havent even talked about mark 5, which charges money for armor thats totally free in 2 different games and theres yoroi, which basically rn has no customization unless you buy a bundle

Man that sounds so grim… Colours and emblems from the previous games should be available for players to customise so that the game doesn’t look stale. Coatings should simply be a template for the player to change the primary/secondary/tertiary colours… I dunno what people are paying these premium prices for, to look the exact same as eachother? If players had some ability to express themselves there would be less wrong with this system.
