This is Crysis 3 on the Xbox 360. It came out less than four weeks ago. There’s less than 2,000 people online. Some playlists have ZERO players. Some playlists have only ONE game in progress.
Until Halo 4 has these numbers, you can’t complain. This game’s population is doing much better, and it came out five months ago as opposed to less than one. Not only that, but Crysis 3’s marketing was very strong.
(My apologies for the video quality. This video was taken on my HTC Trophy’s nasty camera.)

Stop…just stop. You’re going to create arguments that have been repeating themselves for the past few months. Just go to the official population thread and discuss it there. We already have enough of these posts.
@DeceptionCobra There was quite a bit of hype for it but I didn’t see any TV commercials either. Then again, I still knew that Crysis 3 was coming out despite not being an avid fan of it.
I saw a commercial on ESPN once, and they had a seven-part online miniseries titled “The 7 Wonders of Crysis” or something.

Isn’t that what Halo forums are for? To repeat arguments over and over again? But anyways, I’ve never seen an official population thread.
The Wii U version of black ops 2 is worse!
In the zombie playlist there are only around 50 people who play on it.
90% of the playlists are ghost towns. Though I agree Halo 4 still has a large population, could be better though. I mean Reach has around 15000 people still playing.Halo 3 usually has around 2-5 thousand.

Did you just compare the population of Crysis 3, which is a new sequel to a (fantastic) game but one that has never had a striking population as it is, to Halo 4 which is the successor to a game that had 200k online a day and is now struggling to reach 50k 4 months after release?

Well that’s because it’s the freakin’ Wii U! No one buys a Nintendo console to play online.
I agree that Halo 4 could have a better population, but the only game that has a better population is Black Ops II, and I know that its population now is a mere fraction of what it used to be as well.
@Wild: No wonder, the last post was three days old. Oh well.
A lot of the players wont buy Crysis 3 due to the bad after taste from the Crysis 2 MP mess(my god what a mess it was), so basically thats why Crysis 3 has so low population. With this in mind Halo 5 can be facing the same future due to the Halo 4 MP mess. Sure just the name Halo on the game and you will have millions of copies sold but still.
Straw man is a logical fallacy and you should not use it to argue a point. This goes for all logical fallacies which are abundant here on the way point forums.

I’m pretty sure Halo 4 is suffering due to the mess Reach was. It was a terrible game imo and I think it started the downfall of the Halo franchise.
You do realize most people buy crysis for the single player… Crysis has never been really known for multiplayer. Whereas halo is mainly known for it. You cannont compare the two games, one is known for single player and the other for multiplayer.
Halo reach was awesome! What are you talking about? Have you gone insane? It’s Halo, nothing about it wasn’t the armor abilities were a fresh new add on to the series.

The game sold millions of units. There’s less than 2,000 people on multiplayer.

That is your opinion and I have mine. Nothing can beat the original Halo CE or Halo 3 in my eyes.

Halo is known for both single player and multiplayer. Master Chief didn’t come from multiplayer, yet he’s the first thing people think of when you say Halo.
Crysis has been heavily marketing for multiplayer, though. The last two games had a deal where if you bought the game early/pre-ordered it, you got special multiplayer bonuses. The fact that they can do that and have three playlists with absolutely no people on it is rather ridiculous.
