I am an average Halo 5 Warzone player and I dread every single req pack I open. There is so much crap that I don’t want and very little that I need but the crap out weighs the good. So I open my req pack, hoping for what I want, and I get emblems and armor. I already have the emblems and armor I want and will always use, so it is extremely annoying. I am level 57 and just recently I was finally able to get my first DMR but is a req level 8 item so I barely am able to use it. I cannot get a normal DMR. Please stop making armors and emblems, I don’t want them. Please patch because I love Halo and I love the gamemode but I can’t handle the crap.
I’d be more sympathetic here if I hadn’t already had to go through the long, grudging grind to get all of the REQ items, so tough it out mate.
start with bronze and move your way up to silver, it helps get the smaller common crap out of the way first
How about playing Halo for the the love of Halo?

Im level 77 and i still dont have a DMR. its a little annoying but no big deal. i still enjoy playing the game. And the reason they add so much “crap” is so people continue to play the game.

Everyone that says this used this method before the update that allowed you to get emblems in addition to your two permanent reqs from silver packs. You’ll get through your reqs faster if you do silvers until you start getting req point refunds (by then you’ll have all common - rare reqs aside from emblems and hcs armor)
I didn’t get dmrs until I around sr75 or so. It can take awhile to get what you want. Somehow it always seems like the stuff you want comes last.

This, I busted my -Yoink- since day one grinding it out and I have almost everything I want.

Ahh a lesson for you here is “life is not fair”, we don’t always get what we want
Then just buy Silver packs and it will go way faster.

He said he’s a Warzone player. He just wants what’s useful in Warzone … to make the game better.
That’s one reason I don’t like the REQ system. Fortunately for me, I don’t really care for Warzone. I find BTB to be leagues more enjoyable than Warzone. I much prefer everyone to have the same AR, BR, DMR, SMG, Magnum, etc. None of this nonsense with kinetic rounds and enhanced scopes and Nornfangs and armor mods and all this crap. It was fun at first, but it gets old.
… jeez, I just had this realization … I used to defend Halo 4’s BTB because it was a blast, but it was very much like Warzone in some ways. Loadouts, power weapon drops, armor mods … and now I’m more into Halo 5’s BTB for playing like classic Halo 3 BTB … man, have I changed my tune. What happened? lol
Keep playing and you’ll get it all. I have everything but hardly ever use a dmr. Then again I never liked it anyway.

Stop giving this advice out. It’s outdated. Bronze is USELESS now after they updated the silvers to contain a possible emblem slot. Bronze weren’t necessary before and they’re counterproductive now.
You could just sell the rubbish and use the money to get more req packs (just ignore this if you do sell the rubbish).

They already fixed it so you don’t have to grind through emblems before getting to “the good stuff”.

Maybe you needed a break from equal starts, which H4 provided. Now that it’s out of your system, you like equal starts again
