Yea I agree. I dont like the forest one from EB so I think Im gonna cancel mine from there and go to Best Buy. Plus their lines arent as long so I can get home and play sooner.

Agreed. To think of what all this content could do for the game if it was just -Yoinking!- included with everyone’s copy. But, giving people, you know, something to play with is not what games are for these days. It’s hyping people up with pretentious, exclusionary, -Yoink- to make the worst of humanity by exaggerating our innate tendency for group v. group violence.

“Oh yah, well at least I got my game from people who don’t wear blue shirts and a bad attitude!”
“Hey, come on now. We’ve all got special content here. Let’s just agree to disagree and start ragging on those who didn’t pre-order the game!”

…and so on. Maybe this isn’t so explicit in gaming communities but it’s certainly felt when you create a line between population segments for no other reason than to create a line.
The problem is that we have too much choices.
Back in the days that was just the game and that’s all.
Collector edition are ok, because they contains, let’s say, “hardware stuf” like figures, books artworks and that’s cool for fans to collect those objects.
Now that’s just plain bullsh*t, we have DLC, avatar stuff, pre-order bonus, collector pack with in game stuff only, skins etc…
The offer is much more commercial than 10years ago. More choice, more profits.
It’s only a pattern for the armour, not the actual armour. It’s not that important so I honestly don’t mind which armour skin I get.

Don’t go with Best Buy, they’re having some serious issues turning a profit right now, and I’ve got fears for the future of the company. It’s just a bit to risky, go with Gamestop.
I preordered at gamestop so chances are im getting the eb bonuses. I dont like how theyre pulling a gears 3, but these are just patterns and alternatives for people who prefer different stores.
It is all about the $$$$$$$$$$$
Funny thing is all those corporations paid thousands of dollars to have the exclusive rights to distribute the skin.
