This isn’t a game breaking feature that’ll really kill Infinite in any way, but I wanna hear some thoughts and opinions from others. So, in the first flight when you looked down you were able to see your legs. It was really wierd in the first flight however though because you could also see the inside of your torso as well. I was hoping 343 would care to fix this, but instead they completely removed your legs altogether in the current flight. I’d honestly rather have it be like it was in the first flight then not having your legs at all. I really hope it does not stay like this. Being able to see your arms as well as your legs was always nice because at the very least it was a part of your customization you could always see. It’s also something thats been in every Halo since Halo 2. Now, it’s not extremely immersive breaking either, but when you look down and theres nothing there it’s always felt like the dumbest most awkward thing in any game that like that. Like I said, I know it’s not the most important thing, but I severly hope they don’t remove your legs altogether and keep it the way it currently is. What do you guys think?
They probably removed it because they were fixing it
Legs please.
We are not in 1998 anymore…
Legs. Feels weird to not have them.
Yes
to me legs have been both immersive and immersion breaking. crouch, look straight down, suddenly you have tiny arms and a tiny gun.

Lmaoo I didn’t really think of that but that’s true. I mostly like the legs as an indicator of where I’m standing (obviously) but also to help with grenade jumping. Or I guess, looking down when preparing to jump over a large gap, force of habit I guess.
I didn’t even notice. How often do y’all look straight down while playing?
Whats up with how janky the crouch animation is when looking down.
I’m always disappointed when modern FPS games, especially amazing AAA games like Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, go all out to make your character’s world feel so immersive and put you in the head of the protagonist, yet that head consists of a floating skull with 2 arms attached to a floating gun. I need legs and chest to help feel immersed. The legs in Halo 2 made the series feel more immersive and stand out from than it’s competition at the time of it’s release (Doom 3 and Half-Life 2). I hope they’re just fixing the body models and they haven’t permanently removed the feature.

When I’m platforming, trying to judge exactly which parts of my body is exposed, am admiring the new pants I equipped on my character, admiring my character’s paint job, am shooting at somebody below me and notice I’m just a floating gun, or just want to feel immersed in my game for any other reason. I play games for immersion, not a competitive advantage, and tend to appreciate the immersive features some games offer over others.
Edited for grammar, spelling, and readability. Same point stands though. The FPS genres stand out from other genres over its inherent potential to make the player feel truly immersed in the game, it’d be a shame not to capitalize on that.

Yes!! Sometimes I do this and admire how I look. Mostly happens after I get a new look or whatnot. I mean, you hardly see yourself unless you die or hop in a vehicle, why not do this? Honestly, you see other players more often than you see yourself, so, take the pleasures you’re offered, I’d say; 100% agree with what you said.
MY LEGS!!! AAAAAAGH WHAT HAPPENED TO ME LEGS?
Yeah I want the Legs back. I also couldn’t help but notice they don’t have leg armor like they did in Halo 4.
We need legs. Adds to the immersion.
