Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have a multiplayer component too. Developers confirmed they are working on it.

They are not launching the Game With MP. We have no idea when MP will come to cyberpunck. It could be a month after launch it could be a year or more. CyberPunch is a single player game, That is what it will be at launch. Halo infinite will launch with both single and multiplayer as well as splitscreen coop. Cyberpunck would likely break any console its on if you tried to make it Splitscreen.

343 cancelled split screen coop because the Xbox one, old gen hardware can’t run it. 100% the game engine built for old gen hardware is also a factor in why they can’t roll out content and features in a timely manner.
Limiting this game by having it release on old gen was a BIG mistake.
I think you’re totally right. A year ago I would have argued that the game needed to come out on the Xbox One, because the Series X was so unavailable.
Frankly, the Series X isn’t THAT much more available, and is still crazy expensive, but I would be much more hyped if Infinite had been delayed again, and was two months away from release, exclusive to the newest generation of consoles. It would be dropping with splitscreen co-op, and I bet it would look a lot nicer than the blocky old open world we got.
CD Projekt Red announced they are dropping support for old gen consoles a couple days ago.
The new expansion for that game and new features will be new gen only.
I think 343 Industries should do the same thing.

Personally I bought a Series X in december for one of the ridiculous package deals for $850 that included game pass, etc.
Was VERY VERY not worth it to me, I was actually kinda glad when the series x just bricked less than a month later (just stopped turning on, factory defect.) Got all my money back and figured I’d wait until they were less than $500.
