To get all the permanent unlocks, best method.

Updated Edit: It seems people are still reading this even though it’s launch old. Any ways looks like going bronze 1st is the way to go now with the updates before WZFF. So TL;DR of this whole thing is go Bronze to Sliver to Gold. It’s the best use of your req points

I posted a thread like this before. But it got buried by many crazy post out there. Well I keep seeing post from guys curious how to send their req with people giving bad answers. So I’ll post a better thread. With a video this time

Edit: I did not make the video. Just the best video i found talking about it. Someone PM me thanking me for making it. And it would be wrong to take credit. My goal was to only share it.
.
Watch this video. It will inform you well

More information

Edit: Bronze - 1250 RP. From my testing, there seems to be a 80% CHANCE at 1 permanent Common, Possibly Uncommon Unlock. (Edit: and possibility for an Extra emblem as well) Meaning you can buy 4 packs and only get 1 unlock

Sliver - 5,000 rp. 2 permanent items (Edit: and 1 emblem) from Common to Rare.

Gold - 10000 RP. 2 permanent ( edit: and 1 emblem) items from Uncommon to Mythic.

Updated edit: Going Bronze -> Silver -> Gold is the best method now ever since 343I updated the drop rates for bronze packs. So keep doing this till you start getting RP points or till you feel like silver packs are more rewarding.

Silver to Gold method
Basically some users in Reddit did the math. if you want All the permanent unlocks. Buying Silver then upgrading to gold when you unlock everything that silver offers will cost less then 3 millon RP

Gold to silver method. (Worst Method)
If you buy nothing but gold and go down to silver. It will cost more then 4.5 million. The video explains it all clearly.

I can understand wanting those Legendary and Mythic unlocks. But at 10000 a pop a pop. But not only are you trying to get the legendary and Mythic items, but you have all those Uncommon and Rare items flooding your pool too, and your buying those at twice the price then what they are. Not a wise investment

But it’s up to you in what you want to buy. It is a free market

Edit: Bronze Packs. If you want to risk the Odds. Feel free to go for the Bronze -> Silver -> Gold method.Depending on your luck. For the price of one Silver pack.

You can get 4 Permanent Common - Uncommon req items.Just tried it and bought 4 and got 4 commons. So I got lucky. Someone here tried 4 and only got 1.

So it’s all on you if you want to try your luck to knock more out of the way. And if done properly, will be the Cheapest. Or you can be unlucky and it can be to most expensive

Edit: when you start getting 500 RP card in the bronze packs instead of permanents, it’s time to move up

Get your wallet out and spend big.

Why, when you can get everything from just playing and pretty quickly too. Especially faster then it was to unlock EVERYTHING in Halo reach

I watched the video, and I’m starting to only go for silver now. Went for gold 100% of the time before, and wasn’t always impressed by what i got. Silver basically gave me the same thing. So if I’m spending half the money on the same items, and still have an equal chance at the items i want, then you better believe I’m going to stop paying more and start paying less. After learning that, i think gold should give you at least 3-4 permanent items. Oh well, what can you do.

Well once you get everything that Silver has to offer. Then all you will get from gold is Permanent Legendary and Mythics. The system is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it

The system is easy, just boring as all can be. Takes time to get RP, especially if you are only doing more competitive play than warzone. I’ll be going gold after i get what i want, but that’s after i get everything unlocked. I like having everything unlocked / completed.

Well if you look at time spent. A arena match usually last less then 10 minutes is about a little over a 800-1200 req a march.

Warzone matches usually last 20 plus minutes with anound 1200 - 2400 a match.

Honestly in time spent. It really evens out

But I feel cheap and dirty if I don’t use my points on anything but Gold haha.

Well the Majority of things you’ll get from silver. But it’s your req points. I’ve already got a lot of armor and Visors already though when I swapped to this

Excellent stuff, thks for sharing!

Still seeing people ask about how to go about Req pack purchasing and bad info given in the threads. Wish this could be placed somewhere where people can find it easy. Oh well.

Well, that changed my REQ spending completely! Thanks for the info.

Your very welcome. I just want to show that the Req system isn’t a scary thing and done right, you can get everything you want and be happy. You just need to put time into it. Like in any game

I’m glad this has been shared because I’ve saved and opened two gold and got pretty crap stuff. Will be going for silver now!

I’ve pretty much only bought gold packs so far. Haven’t been tooooo happy with what I’ve gotten…

I’ll only buy Silver ones when I play today and I’ll see how things go.

I’ll start buying just silver right now, even though, with my luck, i’ll unlock a lot of emblems before starting unlocking cool armors, helmets and the DMR

I’ve switched to silver but I think I will test bronze later today. 4 bronze for one silver so if the chances of getting at least 2 total permanent unlocks is high enough, with a chance of getting 3rds and 4ths, I’ll get the commons out of the way first.

I just want my Recon helmet. Why can’t I just unlock it by completing a challenge? I might never get it with this REQ system

Thank you to everyone in this thread for buying REQs and making DLCs free.

definitely think 2 silvers is better than 1 gold at this point. Anyone know what the actual weapon count difference is between 2 silvers and 1 gold?
