I think those are both good songs for Menu Themes Thoughts?
For those who are clueless what I’m speaking of…here Halo 4 OST samples

After the fiasco that was Reach’s menu, I wouldn’t like to see any more actiony-type tracks in the main menu. Keep it relatively soft and subtle with the occasional orchestral and choral outburst like in Halo 2, Halo 3/Mythic, and ODST.
It’s a little too intense for a menu. Halo 3 Mythic had that problem as well, sitting in a lobby while ridiculously epic and sad music was playing in the background, lol. They should just put the classic monk chant in there, the old-school way. That would be so awesome…

You’re talking about Revival then, which sounds awesome as well.
“To Galaxy”? what are you talking about?

What are you talking about!? Halo 3 Mythic had the best menu music, it was so beautiful!! xDDD

that would be like making the mjolnor mix in halo 2 the menu theme. i love the song but it doesnt match for the menu. Revival on the other hand…

Right, sorry, I got a little confused there.

It was awesome music, but totally unfitting for moving around in the menus. I would sometimes not even play and just listen to it. The background wasn’t even epic, it was just a Spartan standing there. If not something ambient, they could at least to do something that gets you pumped for some Halo. SSB is a great example, those games always had awesome menu music that got you excited.
It could cycle between the two. Kind of how the Halo CE menu cycled between the Halo Theme and a few other tracks from the Truth and Reconciliation Suite.

SSBB had some questionable alternate menu choices though.

Well Melee’s was good, at least.
Revival is definitely not a main theme type.

I agree. Maybe the Halo 3 version “Never Forget” instead? I’d love to see a re-imagining of “Heavy Price Paid” in Halo 4.

No more sad pieces plz
Definitely not Revival, and probably not even To Galaxy. I’d like a much softer track for the main menu music.
To Galaxy, definately
I’d say Revival, it just got me thinking about how Chief is back to kick some CENSORED.

Those tracks are great but wouldn’t make great menu music imo. I’d be looking for something more subtle with a slower pace, with a gradual build up that should feel intense, but not sound intense if that makes any sense.
