20K viewers on twitch for HCS X-games tonight.
Also, I keep seeing people say H5 dropped out of the top played games on xbox. Blatant lies. It’s consistently in the top 10 and almost always gets more play time than Battlefront or Rainbow 6 Siege. Just cause it’s not at COD or Destiny numbers doesn’t mean it’s dead.
Halo’s back baby. Can’t wait to see what kinda viewership numbers H5 puts up at HCS worlds!

plus the fact that COD and destiny are MULTIPLATFORM and halo 5 is NOT. i feel like i should add that point and stress it. i bring that up because what if your friends on the PS4 told you about how awesome those games were before you got to halo:you would play that instead of halo
Um 20K isn’t that much. COD pulls in over 100K and CS:GO pulls close to a million. I just checked the top played Xbox games and Halo 5 isn’t even in the top 12 right now. Halo 5 is dead lol and will never come back alive as long as 343 is in charge. Sorry to break it too you

I’m happy that viewership was pretty good on Twitch. That doesn’t even include everyone watching on ESPN. But let’s be frank - you can’t just ignore Halo 5’s average population nowadays. Hardly breaks top 10.

LOL no. It’s not. It’s consistently #11 or #12 which means there’s less than 30k people. Battlefront and Rainbow 6 are consistently ahead of it.
And I don’t know what you’re talking about, cause there’s only 3k people watching the twitch stream. It has millions of unique views only because somebody at Microsoft paid a pretty penny to put the stream on the home page of Twitch.

Cause I’m still a HALO fan. I’m just not a fan of Halo 5, 343, or the direction Halo has taken.

I really don’t think it’s dead at all, top played game currently? No. But you don’t have to have the highest number of players to not be dead.

You know how many shooters came out in 2015? And how many more people are still addicted to Destiny like -Yoink!-? H5 faced wayyy stiffer competition in its release than Halo 4 did. And it’s help up infinitely better. People just have to accept that this isn’t Halo 2 or Halo 3, where they basically had free reign over the console FPS market. There’s too many other games begging for play-time in 2015-2016.
At the end of the day, Halo 5 has a healthy population & is a major e-sport once again. Not CS:GO or LoL status, but enough to hold its own against COD. And that’s all that matters to me.

H5 has moments and good ideas though.

What’s your problem man? No need to be a jerk about it. Competitive Halo was kicked in the shins with Halo Reach and has been waiting for an event like this for a long time. If people want to be happy about it it, then let them.

Bungie wanted out because they wanted CHA-CHING. You honestly want to tell me the world of Destiny is universe Bungie always wanted to create, as opposed to Halo? Activision was making it rain cash money. Bungie screwed us with TWO games. Reach was the laziest Halo of all time & riddled with problems. H4 was the result of 343 wanting to continue down the road Bungie paved on their way out. Your memory fails you. Halo was not the golden child you remember it to be when Bungie handed off the reigns.

It’s all good man, haters flock to threads like this to self-validate their dislike for H5. So many are quick to forget that Halo was dead as a competitive game once Reach happened. H5 being at the X-games and putting up solid viewership numbers AND being on ESPN is a huge turnaround, and no one’s opinion can change that.
