I am so tired of seeing people posting comments like ‘‘If you don’t like Halo 4 than just stop playing it’’ or ‘‘You’re not a true Halo fan if you don’t like everything about Halo 4’’. To the people who post these kinds of posts and comments I have one question for you. If Halo 4 is that good than what was so bad about every other Halo game that Halo 4 had to be that drastically different from them?
its basic logic. the majority who loved halo (halo 4 =/= halo) have already left and arent here to discuss the flaws of the game. the only people who didnt leave are the few who actually liked the changes so of course people here are going to defend halo 4
Complaining about Complainers doesn’t solve anything.
There is a distinct difference between actually complain about Halo 4 and providing constructive criticism about Halo 4. The latter is generally the better choice.
This thread is more on the side of complaining rather than providing any form of constructive argument.
Move along chaps!
Each game in the series had problems, there isn’t a video game that doesn’t, and each game got better over time. Halo 4 has its problems and its been improving since launch. I’m just sick of the hate and the yoinking of every little thing.
“OMG Ranks aren’t visible in game you have to go on Waypoint to see them #HaloIsDad”
“What the yoink death X’s are white instead of red #Halo4sucks”
“Halo 4 isn’t in MLG circuit, Lol. This game sucks #Fail”
I mean holy yoink it gets old and its not constructive. Please post what you think are problems and suggest how to fix them, but if you end it with “Halo 4 sucks”, “Halo is dad” or “I’m done with Halo” why should anyone take you seriously and listen. Let alone 343i. Support them game and the franchise that’s the only way it will grow and improve. Otherwise you don’t care and you should move on.

I was asking a question. A complaint and a question are two different things.

I completely agree with you. That’s why it’s To everyone defending EVERYTHING about Halo 4.

Actually, this is complaining about complaining about complaining.
complaining cubed.

So then what was that first sentence about?
Look, I’ve got a huge surprise for you. Ready? People are opinionated (gasp). It’s a fact of life, I’d suggest getting use to it, especially while on a video game forum. If you disagree, then disregard and move on.

It’s a fact that my last sentence was a question. You don’t have to be sarcastic about anything.
I’ll admit that just saying “If you don’t like it, don’t play it.” isn’t very constructive, but neither is this thread. Complaining about people complaining doesn’t solve anything. People will say what they want. You can’t do anything to change it.

^Exactly This^
Because if Halo 4 was the same game as every other Halo people would complain about that as well. I’m glad Halo is one of those few games that has big changes every time a new one is released it would get really boring if it as the same game over and over Cough COD Cough.

I’m not nearly as dumb as you are taking me for. I’m more than well aware that your last sentence was question, thank you. I’m just trying to bring to your attention that people have opinions, and complaining about that is not going to solve anything.

Did you guys read the thread? He wasn’t complaining as much as he was asking why some people defend every aspect of this game like drones. Although, I haven’t seen too much of that, but maybe I just ignore it.

Its Not A matter of what was wrong with the other games Halo has just evolved over time like any other game series. With Halo 4 it was simply a larger step because a new Developer (343i) took over the series. I still enjoy playing Halo 4. Yes there are some things that need to be changed but its not a big enough problem to just renounce the game completely. My only issue is JIP but its in the game for a legitimate reason. I would like it changed but its not a big enough deal for me to make me want to quit playing Halo 4. I think its an overall great game and an excellent addition to the Halo Series. Remember without 343i Halo would have just died.
I like Halo 4 and I am currently accepting the changes, but don’t get me wrong I had a tough time getting used to the changes after playing the classic games like Halo 2 and Halo 3. I will stay with Halo for the sole reason that I love the story and that I am able to adapt to changes in the game play. Although their are changes, it hard to argue that their is still that same Halo feel buried in the game.

And “I am so tired of seeing people posting comments” saying Halo 4 or 343 sucks. Go play COD.

Most people did, good job helping kill this already dying community. People like this who talk about non-constructive posts are amazingly hypocritical.

First of all no where in my post did I say anything as immature as Halo 4 or 343 sucks. And second of all I made this post for people like you who think everything about Halo 4 is perfect and people who disagree can quote, go play CoD. Think before you post.

Firstly the people claiming you are complaining are just being pedantic. You raise a good point.
Personally I think the earlier Halo games especially 1 and 3 were very good in principle but of course any game has some problems. Halo 4 I think is flawed fundamentally, Halo 4 is almost a different genre of game from Halo 1-3. Halo 1-3 were arena shooters whereas Halo 4 is some sort of arena/class based mash up.
I think the problems began with Halo Reach and then 343 continued the trend and while correcting some problems such as armour lock and bloom they then made numerous changes which were equally as bad if not worse such as personal ordnance, random map ordnance etc.
With regards to Halo needing to be changed I don’t believe it did need to be changed, not in terms of core gameplay anyway. In fact the last Halo game that was the king of XBL was Halo 3 which ironically was the last true Halo game or last Halo arena shooter. Halo 3 had way better population stats than both Halo Reach and Halo 4 after the initial launch window. Halo 4 is down to a daily peak population of less than 50k. I remember seeing over 100k players on Halo 3 2 years after launch and you have to take into consideration there are also more XBL users now. Halo only really started losing popularity when Halo Reach came along and then even more so with Halo 4, basically the more they have changed the game the less popular it has become, that is a fact.
I think with Halo 4 someone at 343 and/or Microsoft looked at COD and decided from a business perspective that Halo 4 would be more popular if they made it more like COD, not taking into consideration that Halo is a completely different game or that players who like COD are already busy playing COD itself which provides them with plenty of content and a new game every year. In my opinion it was a pretty dumb decision and obviously made by people who don’t understand Halo or what people liked so much about Halo.
The people on this forum that defend Halo 4 for the most part I would say are either relatively new to Halo or just haven’t played enough Halo to understand what made the earlier games good, I don’t think they’ve got to a high enough skill level to understand how the game mechanics and the various meta games work and how changes to the game affect that. Then there are just the people that are basically fanboys that will defend the game to the death as long as its called Halo.
