To everyone crying:

I’m gonna try this again.

To everyone crying: try not to be so dismissive. While some additions will inevitably change the game, dismissing a game so quickly based on that fact is unfair. I say give 343i a chance and determine how you feel after playing the game. I’m not saying that sharing opinions is forbidden; I’m saying calling a game crap before trying it is unfair.

Thank you.

100% agreed.

Exactly. It’s as if 343 have said “There will be no classic playlists, adapt or die” the way some people are reacting. The Classic playlists likely won’t have Sprint, Loadouts, AAs, Insta-spawns, Drop-in/out, and will have static weapon spawns.

I don’t want a classic playlist, I want a game that plays like yoinking Halo. If the base game SUCKS i.e. REACH then no amount of changes in the game options will make it play right.

What if the classic playlists “play like Halo”? What then?

Totally agree. I will still enjoy the game if it plays like H2/3 etc but I’m really looking forward to at least trying the new features and seeing how well they play. Nobody, and I mean nobody, can say what will happen in terms of gameplay from reading 1 article in a magazine. This is in part why I believe the lack of a beta was a mistake but I’m also glad that they just decided to keep focusing on making the game.

> I don’t want a classic playlist, I want a game that plays like yoinking Halo. If the base game SUCKS i.e. REACH then no amount of changes in the game options will make it play right.

A couple of additions aren’t the “base game.” The base game relies on the mechanics and engine. More importantly, the game relies on a fanbase that doesn’t lose hope after a day of revelation. You “fans” make me sick. If the developers of Halo listened to people like you, we’d be playing Halo: CE over and over and over again (it’s an amazing game, but change is needed).

I.e. Suck it the hell up.

Mine would’ve been more simple. “To everyone crying, I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking…” or “To everyone crying, SFTU, and -Yoink-.”

I’d rather play against different people on a constant basis through the wonder of matchmaking.

Meh… If the game is good then it will be good, if its bad its bad. It sounds like an obvious thing to say but we will just have to wait for information, videos and the game itself to see if 343i have what it takes.

I’m really curious how the big game review sites will take Halo 4 and particularly EDGE magazine.

I think I will be playing a lot of custom games when Halo 4 is released. On another note, let’s just hope netcode and hit detection is good.

Once again I would like remind everyone that no part of the community should be limited to one playlist, or custom games. We should all be able to get to an extent what we want out of this game, Vetran Players, and new comers alike.

So complaining about the game to a great margin, and complaining about the said upset complaint giving individuals, and groups alike on here is just as bad.

Threads that all give the same consistency in nonsense just make things even worse.

No part of the community IS limited to any playlists or whatever junk you just spewed. The only limitations are people’s preferences.

You’re not helping, either.

I personally do not believe offering classic playlists is “limiting parts of the community to one playlist or custom games”. If there’s a selection of Classic playlists and it’s supported right then it’s just an option for players to play Halo the way they want to.

The problem is that the base game should be made to play competitive then altered for casuals if they want to play rumble pit, zombies, swat, etc. MlG halo will suffer from having their game type playing totally different from vanilla halo 4 because most of the community will be turned of from it so they wont watch MLG either. MlG only helps games because it makes the game competitive and makes people care more about the game. Halo needs MLG. MLG wants halo. MLG can do perfectly fine with star craft 2 and lol. If halo 4 isn’t on MLG a lot of people will stop caring about halo. Halo 4 should have an equal amount of competitive:classic game types as casual game types.

I think you understood what I was saying (Or at least I hope so, It wasn’t that hard to understand)

If you want to be that vague in terms of why people like to play this game then sure; If we were all just non-imaginative drones or simpletons I am sure everything would be fine for all of us.

The fact remains though that some of us do prefer competitive playlists, and Ranked games.

Why should we only be able to enjoy our selves in 1 playlist or in custom games when everyone else gets 23-24 playlists like in Reach?

How was half of that even relevant? The base game doesn’t need to be made to specifically appeal to the competitive community; that’s what gametypes are for. MLG gametypes have been a thing for years now and it’s never been a problem.

I understand but what you’re missing is that Halo 4 will be a different experience than Halo 3, or 2, or Reach. So it can only offer so much in terms of “classic gameplay”

Look at Reach, It had a classic playlist, and it was so far from the experience given to us by previous Halo games that they were barely populated, and were inevitably dis-banded.

I just want to have the same opportunities that I have had in the past when it comes to what I enjoy(ed) in Halo ex. Ranked playlists

Is that too much to ask for?

If someone can only enjoy themselves in one playlist due to their stinginess then who’s fault is that? Certainly not the game developer’s.

You’re missing the point…
The core of Halo should be the primary way of playing, not the secondary.
