The population isn’t low because people hate the game. Realize that this community and its complaints are the extreme minority. MAYBE 5% of the entire Halo population. Just because we have complaints, doesn’t mean everyone does. The reason why the population is so low is because of so many grade A releases.
I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t only buy one game a year. If a new game comes out and I like it, I will probably play it. That doesn’t mean Halo is “Shelved” as some people put it, but I don’t strictly play it 24/7, neither does the rest of the world, and neither should you.
My point is, Halo’s population does NOT determine how the game is “failing”, there just happens to be great releases coming out at the end of the year, and other gamers are playing other games. A lot of them will probably come back to Halo 4, and the population will jump back up after Christmas.
In all seriousness there were A(A)A) titles when every Halo game was released, Halo just isn’t as popular online as it used to be. Still has good numbers and a thriving community imo
> Im starting to get into planetside 2, i suck at k/m but still fun to play it.
That game flew under my radar and I still have not managed to much of anything from it. I should probably check it out, I heard good (and bad) things from it.
There are some really good games out there. I can’t wait for Farcry for the map editor alone. Hitman, Dishonored, and Forza are on my “to play” list as well. This Halo will play out like every other Halo before, though; my goto for multiplayer for years to come.
okay? it doesn’t say anything about the fact that alot of people just find halo 4 boring, forget all the fixes bugs or whatever, the game just isn’t as addictive as past halos
It’ll be interesting to see whether the Halo 4 population buoys up in the coming weeks and months, and where the daily online population ends up settling. If it climbs and we end up having between 100-200k people online at any given time, then I’d say the game is doing just fine. If it continues to dwindle, and we end up with anywhere from 10-100k online at any given time most days, then I’d say we have a problem.
Wow all those awesome games don’t hurt BLOP2 population… Every single year there are multiple awesome games that come out… This isn’t the first holiday season where 5-10 awesome games come out.

I am talking about people on the forums. There are hundreds of thousands of people on Halo 4 at a time. Max people I have seen in the forums are 270 people at once. This forum is 5% of the community if they are lucky. Otherwise, I see it as being MUCH less.

He was guestimating that 5% hate the game enough to come on here and complain about it, not just dislike the game in general.

Opinions are opinions.
THough I agree, I think if they hurry up and add a damn visible skill system, this game will go much higher on the addictivness scale.

Keep in mind BLOPS 2 is on 4 systems, while Halo is on one.
CoD will always thrive more just because it is multiplatform

Each console only tracks the population on it’s own network. The multi plat arguement only works in regards to total sales.
