To clarify: Will these changes be Game Options we can change ourselves?

It sounds like everyone is asking for a 343-side gametype. I was under the impression from the Bulletin that these options would be ‘Configurable’ by the players. Has that been discussed, or are they holding back on the Game Options update for now?

I’m hearing conflicting information about whether Bloom and all of the Armor Lock shield traits and whatnot will be configurable, player-side, or just by 343, whose gametypes we’ll have to save.

They will all be player confirgureable, but only in the new gametypes.

what? nothing will be player configurable…

Exactly, the UI hasn’t been touched, if you want Zero Bloom, you download the Zero Bloom gametype and you can’t toggle it on or off, it’s either no bloom gametype or bloom gametype.

Indeed. And it might be worth pointing out that the majority of the playlists released (at least for matchmaking) will have bloom enabled although only 85% of the amount of bloom we currently have.

What the hell are you people talking about? Things like toggling bloom are what configureable means.

Sure, the ability to toggle something would give one the impression that the “toggled item” is configurable (i.e. “on” or “off”). And in this case it is…but not by players.

You can’t tweak bloom but you can download a gametype with bloom tweaked.

What is everyone talking about??? Frankie said that there will be a bloom “slider” that lets you determine how much bloom you want, from vanilla reach to none.

Sigh…

> Unfortunately, we can’t make this user-facing, so players will not be able to experiment with bloom themselves, but we plan to release multiple gametypes with varying bloom settings.
