To change topic a bit, friends...

I know we are all super excited for E3 at noon, some of us so excited we aren’t even tired right now and pumping ourselves up with caffeine. (Me!)

But I had a most striking idea spring forth in my noggin relating to the Reclaimer Trilogy. Not some revelation about what may happen, but mayhap a neat feature that hopefully 343i might catch wind of. Wanna hear it?

To put it simply, we all hear how 343i talks about our ‘career’ in Halo 4 and how it’s gonna be tied to the whole rest of the game. What if this whole career thing took a step forward? What if over the ENTIRE Reclaimer Trilogy there was an overarching rank ladder?

Say you reached the max overrall rank in Halo 4. (We don’t know how that will work yet, so for explanation’s sake we’ll say credit based.) Your overall rank in the Reclaimer Trilogy would then be that divided by 3. See where I’m going?

It’d just be a cool side rank or something like that. Nothing that would give you any benefit or anything. In the next game you’d still need to unlock stuff with your level in that game.

I think it’d give a good sense of ‘career’ for the trilogy. Sure, anything like Waypoint milestone rank could be displayed also, but we all know Halo 3 is vastly different from Halo 4 already. It wouldn’t mean as much.

Whaddya think, Sparks?

I live in the Uk so it’s about half past eight. And it’s raining :frowning:

So I woke up early this morning and downloaded the event player so I can watch Halo 4 from by xbox.

EDIT: The side-ranking system is nice. The highest rank could be precursor.

Or Master of Unicorns

Not a bad idea, but if it wasn’t in, it wouldn’t bother me.

do you have to download something to watch e3 live? ive been wondering how im supposed to watch it from my xbox :frowning: somebody helf me :frowning:

It’s possible, but I think each game will be separate though. Who knows. Perhaps you’ll be able to import your character from one game to another, and your XP, unlockables and whatnot travel across. A question I find more interesting is that, considering how much 343 have changed Halo since the last iteration, will they keep this pace of change up throughout their trilogy? And if they don’t aren’t they a bit hypocritical?

Oy you ninny wits. Stay on topic, maaaaaaaaaan.

Turtle! It’s quite simple. The thing on the dashboard that says Xbox Entertainment Evolved? Hit that link. you’ll find whatcha need.

Ya know i just assumed that would be the case, in fact i am hoping your reach rank continues ( why i am pushing for Inh. with hitting that cap every day)

also side note Friends to me are meat shields to hide behind while i am running away.
the old you do not have to run faster then the bear idea.

A collective rank system among other ranks? Not a bad idea at all, definitely original and its a nice way to keep the entire trilogy alive even after a new game releases.

Event player I think, it should be at the home page

Right, Austin. Too many times in other games you’ll see some guy who is all boss at one installment of the game, but sucks at the other, but nothing to vouch for that he sucks at the previous installment.

With this you can see who the truly dedicated and good Halo player is compared to some loser who just bandwagoned on one current installment!

Seems like a good idea…but Halo 5 is likely to be on the next-gen Xbox so I’m not sure how they’d carry it over

I like your enthusiasm. If its set up like that, it’ll definitely provide a new incentive for people striving for the high ranks and add a new twist for this trilogy.

It’s be easy, LOL Trooper. Data like that stuff is all stored on the back end of things. Where servers don’t really know ‘consoles’, they just know what data to take in and what data to put out.

I think max rank should be MOA
