If you have given up on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, than you are not a true Halo fan, and don’t understand the amount of effort that went into this game. A couple days waiting doesn’t mean “343 isn’t good for Halo” and “343 killed halo” it means that they’re trying to fix the problem. 343 isn’t killing Halo, these impatient whiners are killing Halo.
Nah, if anyone killed Halo it is definitely 343i/MS. You can’t blame the customer for getting hyped up about a game, expecting to play it and then be riddled with issues that will take months to fix. No, it won’t be a few days. There are so many issues that it will take months to fix them all, and you can probably forget about the smaller ones being fixed as it might be too much effort vs reward for a company. We’ll have to wait and see.
But hey, just keep waiting guys, it’s only the beta!
you are not a person who chooses who is a true halo fan and who is not, if someone returned the game then let them.

Agreed. If it had been a month and not even the matchmaking was fixed, then I might think about returning the game. But even then, I love Halo too much to do that… From just playing the few Halo CE, 2, and 3 matches online, I never want to let this game go.
Yeah it confuses me how people claim they adore Halo and yet in the same sentence say they’re returning the MCC. Uh…can you not think ahead? There is obviously going to be and update, probably several, that will address all of these issues we’re having. YES it’s frustrating, but are you seriously throwing in the towel this early?

What he’s saying is that if you love Halo passionately as much as we do, then you wouldn’t be so quick to take back this game, without even allowing 343 time to fix it. Why would I take this game back when I can play Halo 2 online once again, and Halo CE online for the first time on consoles, AND I can play my beloved Halo 3 again <3
I still own my first copy of Halo CE and every special edition version that came out with the other games. People who choose to return the game are ether too bitter for their own good or are young and inpatient. People will say and do some stupid things when they are upset, and a lot of them will just get the game again as soon as they see 80% of their friends list still playing it. I seen one post the other day I couldn’t tell if the kid was serious or trying to troll the boards (just due because it’s fairly simple with all this stuff going on) he was talking about how he traded a broken game for COD AV. Because trading a game in that will keep you beyond busy with the campaigns alone for a game that has more cut scenes and a 6 hour campaign with the same crappy MM over and over.
I love the halo lore. campaign has been working fine for me. i doudt i’ll touch multiplayer for a couple of weeks. t.

People are getting too caught up with the anger flow. Those guys can take back their copy of MCC if they want. Us true Halo fans will be enjoying the heck out of this game here in a week’s time while they’re sitting out wishing they hadn’t done that, but too stubborn to change their mind and pick it back up. So, hey, the joke’s on them.

Some can’t even get the campaigns to work! -Yoink- with this “you aren’t a real fan” stupidity… Only an idiot would sit their try and cook dinner on a broken stove, or try and drive a car off of a junk yard lot. Just because you’re ok with waiting until the developer fixes a broken game doesn’t mean that anyone pissed is not a fan of the series. Get over yourself, lmao!

I did too, but what the hell did they do to it come Halo 4 and the subsequent books? I preferred when the forerunner were just a mystery and up to your imagination.

People who are having troubles even playing the campaign, I understand. And I feel their frustration and anger. But even if that was happening to me, I’d still just keep the game and sit and wait it out until it gets fixed. Or I’d try re-installing the game or something. I wouldn’t take it back because I know I want the game and I’ll just buy it back when it’s working again. Lucky the campaign problems aren’t happening for everyone. I feel lucky that I haven’t run into a single problem with the campaign.
Returning a game that doesn’t work is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.

Of course it is. But if it’s a game that you are set on wanting to play, and you are aware that they are trying to fix these issues, then you could just be patient and wait it out. I have not problem with people returning their game. If they want to do that, then do that. It’s not my problem. It doesn’t affect me. I’m just going to patiently sit here and wait. I can still play my campaigns until that is fixed, so I’m fine with that. (I know some people are even having trouble playing campaign, and that really sucks)

You’re one of the reasonable one’s on here not going to one extreme or the other. Props for having a level head on the internet! We need more like you around here.
I will only stop being a fan if they stop doing what I want

Take the Chicago Bears for example. They were predicted to win the Super Bowl, and have one of the greatest offenses of all time. They have given up 50+ points in consecutive games, and have looked like -Yoink-, and their season is over. Does booing the team on sunday, and expressing their dissatisfaction about the product on the field, make them any less of a fan?
The answer is no.
And btw, I am not a bears fan. I actually hate the -Yoinking!- bears.

But “selling” off the bears because of their poor performance might incline that you aren’t a true Bears fan. I’m a true Colts fan. A few years back they went 2-14 and I didn’t leave them. Was I dissatisfied? Yes. But I stuck with them and waited for next year to see if they’d do better. And guess what, they did. And I find it super odd to be booing your own team… When I’m a fan of something (especially my own state’s team), I don’t boo them. I support them and feel empathy towards them when they do bad. I might be dissatisfied, but I don’t berate them.
That’s how I feel about The Master Chief Collection and 343. I understand what they’re going through and I feel their and our frustration. I feel their guilt and pressure and stress to get the game running to the fan’s standard. That’s why I can cut them some slack, and just wait patiently for them to work it all out. They’re only human.
And I’m not trying to be a -Yoink-, I’m just trying to challenge your argument/analogy. I don’t think it’s the best analogy to support what you’re saying, but I admire your efforts. And I think I understand what you’re saying. Trust me, if I was angry enough, I might feel like I really want to take it back. Because I’m angry and frustrated. And when I’m angry and frustrated I lose all patience and don’t think straight.

of course it is. but not insulting the people who worked their -Yoinks!- off for who knows how long to make the game.
that’s not reasonable, that’s childish, rude & just shows that you’re only an -Yoink- & far from being a fan.
Return Halo? wow. some people i swear. When it’s fixed will you buy it again? pathetic. I returned Destiny to pick up COD and HALO. Best decision i ever made. Destiny was absolute garbage. Who the hell calls their money “glimmer” ? glimmer? really? I will never sellout for a trash new franchise made by Halos parents when i could instead be playing the games that made and defined the online multiplayer era.
