To all you say the games sound is bad.

Wait until the game comes out and listen to the sounds through your tv. It will be much better. I am not saying they will be good that’s up to you preferences but what I am saying is the audio isn’t final quality and most of you are listening on a pc that hasn’t got a good a audio as most tvs (like a sony).

Even better use a head set like I will. That alone doubles any games audio quality. I myself find most the audio average to good but I am going to wait. Also the announcers voice might be toned down and/or you might get used to it.

Just my tip to any who might not get it because of audio or other people who are just concerned.

Here’s a raw, theater-rip 14 minute gameplay video if you want to see what it will sound like.

The concerns I have is the audio cutting out, much like Battlefield 3 on console. It seemed more of an issue near the end of the game.

I love everything I’ve seen or heard. To anybody who doesn’t like it, all I can say it have fun not playing Halo 4.

I’ll be seeing the rest of you on the battlefield.

I play BF3 on xbox and the sound rarely cuts out and only for about 30 secs once per five matches. And like my original post unless you right there with a headset or good tv with surround sounds you wont know how good the real audio is. The audio from pax was with bad tvs so what your hearing is the tvs flaws as well. And for the theater footage you still hearing non final audio from you computer which isn’t as good as most tvs for most computers.

When playing Reach with a pair of headphones on, I notice that stuff like the AR and shield sound a lot better.

I have seen that video and I liked most the sounds. One thing I like is the DMR no longer sounds like the only sound in the game. It was soooo loud in Reach and I just prefer it this way. I don’t like the sniper sounds and I find BR and rocket average.

Off topic does anyone else agree the lighting from a 3rd person view of a charged PP looks amazing?

> When playing Reach with a pair of headphones on, I notice that stuff like the AR and shield sound a lot better.

First time I put on my head set (near xmas) and then played BF3 it was amazing! Everything was double to triple as good I could even hear the rain hitting the floor like I was there in real life. For a while I just walked around getting killed listening to the sounds =).

BTW I got a turtle beach x12.

30 seconds is quite a lot when dealing with such a bug, it also impairs a sense which sucks when you’re playing a game.

I’m using headphones, and while the assets aren’t finished, the YouTube compression for Audio Codecs in 720p isn’t bad at all.

Thank you for yet ANOTHER “to all you people who say (insert gripe here)…”. We sure can’t get enough of those original, well thought out threads!

BTW, I’ve been looking around and I haven’t seen anything mentioned about a theater mode and if it’ll have the “render to film” option. Has that been discussed?

I can’t recall it being confirmed, but it’s probably safe to say it’s in there.

For the “render to film”, do you mean like Bungie Pro - or uploading them to a File Share?

It sounds a bit better in this than the previous one I saw. Thank you. Still…

It’s not going to sound godly, you can thank YouTube’s compression for that. But it should be a fair representation.

If you’re not happy with the sound design, that’s your fault. This is one of the most professional-sounding games I’ve ever, well, heard…

It’s not the sound quality I’m concerned with, it’s just… they all sound about the same. There’s no… uniqueness, at least like there used to. If I hadn’t been instilled with ten years of ‘This is what a Plasma Pistol/Battle Rifle/Rocket Launcher/etc sounds like’ I’d be much kinder to its sound design.

But… I don’t think this is the place for that argument. I’ve posted rants elsewhere, lol.

I agree with the fact about uniqueness but maybe with a headset we will be able to hear subtle differences, maybe.

I actually like their sounds and the magnum seems to be getting better in terms of it’s audio. But I agree with the rocket it sounds nothing like a rocket. It sounds like a bottle rocket, but I guess they made it whistle so it’ll be easier to detect?

Still gonna sound bad anyway you put it though.
