Come on guys, a good majority of you guys hyped up this updated too much. You knew they weren’t going too add too much. I saw people wanting Forge World, like really? That would take way longer than when the update would release. Just look on the good side of things, we get infection, we get noble teams armour back, the brute plasma rifle is making a return, and we get a lot of new forge goodies. This is about what I all expected, the only thing i might of got wrong is the falcon’s return. Only then it still might have a chance from the look of that Oni card. So next time don’t expect whole game changing update when you mostly know what’s going to be in it.
Edit: Also I forgot the main good thing of this update! The UI Update and holy god POST GAME MEDALS! To me this is what Halo 5 needed more than Forge World or another vehical.
Well it’s certainly taught a lot of people that 343 don’t care that much and in stead of listening to Req and armour ideas they’ll just add weapon skins instead.
It’s by far the best update so far, but sadly the req items feel very lacking. I expected at least something more than just a couple armor sets and emblems (which looks amazing btw). I wanted something more than one weapon or so, don’t ge me wrong I love that they added the brute plasma rifle back, but it would of been really nice to at least have more than that. For example weapons like the grenade launcher, plasma launcher, concussion rifle, focus rifle, and the spiker would of been really nice editions to thee game. Those were really good weapons and I doubt that it would of been hard for 343 to add these in the game. They’ve added a vast quantity and quality weapons in past updates before. I mean I understand that everything has a limit, but they could of put more thought into it. That classified ONI card looks really juicy, I wonder if that’s our crowned jewel for this update.

People wanted forge world because someone at 343i said it was expected to be in the game at launch but got delayed. They also said that UNSC air vehicles were a possibility in the future, which would have fit perfectly with this update. Also infection has been in every halo title at launch, and the new map is just a reskin of torque! Why would they not remake a map from halo reach? This update had so much potential but 343 made some extremely strange decisions. Why would they remake the brute plasma rifle for memories of reach and why would that take precedence over the grenade launcher? And why would they remix torque? It was not an amazing map, not bad, but definitely not worthy of a remix, especially when they could’ve remade a fan favourite halo reach map… I love 343 and I love halo 5, but the decisions they make just baffle me sometimes.
Watch this video and it tells you why the UI update and the post game medals are a good thing. Yes it makes this the best update so far because it FIXES what has been a problem since the game was launched.
