Why do you all want this mode? This mode will never work. Think about it. I’ve seen threads saying they want 24 people vs waves of AI.
That would:
Break the game. Imagine the amount of AI they would have to add just for 8 players. And a lot of people say they want Firefight Warzone ranging from 8 to 24 players. That’d be too many AI.
Even if this idea managed too somehow possibly happen, it would frustrate so many people. Imagine all the kill stealing there would be. Imagine all the assists you’d get. Not worth the time because there are barely enough AI dropping out of a phantom in warzone. For example on stormbreak there is a phantom that drops 3 grunts and an elite. 343i wouldn’t be able to add the necessary amount of AI to support the player population.
the game would end. Firefight is about continues game play. Not having a true end. It should be when you run out of lives. With warzone being objective it would get boring really really fast. If you die in Warzone Firefight it would be like nothing ever happened. You’d spawn back in and be back on your way. I doubt 343i would ever give players a max amount of lives due to the amount of AI they’d have to add.
if Warzone Firefight actually happened, it would mean 343i would have to give the community credit and money since it wasn’t their idea. I think that’s how it works

ODST had the perfect firefight imo, Reach’s was dumb unless you played limited. But ODST’s was way more challenging

I only played limited in reach. I liked it more. Brutes and elites. Skirmishers. Dmr or AR star with a magum

The idea of it is alright imo, just tweak it to be either solo or 4 player with REQs to be used.

The only mode where I’d like 24 vs AI is with permadeath, and stronger AI. That’s allow for fast FF games, fewer AI, and still allow 24 players, who’d then die off never to respawn in that match.
Of course they’d have to limit the player amount to a value that actually does not break the game with an amount of AI that actually make the mode fun.
2: So? Firefight is about survival, there’s no one alone on the team, and as with point 1, player to AI ratio would of course be fixed in order to actually make it an enjoyable experience.
3: As far as I’m concerned, Firefight MM in Reach did end, in fact, they never even put in a continuous FF playlist into MM.
Lives and such can be added in, I’m quite sure.
4: Yeah no, that’s not how it works at all. They would not have to give us in the community anything, they’d even be able to charge us for it.
Having an idea does not entitle you to compensation if someone else use it.

Because at this point, Warzone FF is the only viable option. It has all that is needed to bring FF into the game in an actual timely manner.

You are making the assumption that your OP is based in fact somehow… Its not… Ipso Facto, It could work given the correct tweaks.
Break the game? How in the world would it break the game? Warzone has 12 v 12 WITH AI currently. Take out 1 team and have 12 V AI. how is that breaking the game?
then those people wouldnt have to play. Its not a Team V Team game at that point though, so who cares how many kills you have as long as you can progress through the REQ system. Id take 99 assists and 1 kill if it meant winning the game.
Good, it should end! Making it to the end is how you crown a victor. It wouldnt have to be like MW: Zombie mode that is endless
Dumbest statement out of the 4. 343i (ie Microsoft) owns the rights to Halo and can do whatever the F they want with it.
Come back to us when you have some concrete evidence, not just factless based opinions. Then maybe more people will be on board with you.
Reuse the maps from the single-player campaign, just remove dialog and cutscenes and replace the standard weapon cabinets for REQ Stations.
You would be able to use your own character and your REQs, just like Warzone.
Put two teams of four competing against each other. Team Red can’t hit Team Blue and Team Blue can’t hit Team Red, but they can steal kills from each other.
The two teams will compete for killing enemies and completing challanges. The points for killing enemies would be similar to standard Warzone, but regular enemies would be worth 1 VP instead of 0 VP. The challanges could be something like completing Evacuation in less than 18 minutes and keeping more than six miners alive until the point where you reach the elevator (there are achievement for both in the campaign, in the case of the Miners, there would be red miners and blue miners, and the enemy team wouldn’t be able to kill the miners of a different color).
The team with most points once the first Spartan triggers the end of the level by reaching a certain spot or killing the final boss wins.
XP and REQs for everybody at the end. If 343 rewarded us for playing the campaign co-op, people would still be playing it.
Wait people wanted warzone firefight with 24 players? Do you people understand how much computing power would be need for all those players and the amount of A.I. need for all tgose people to fight without any heavy lag.
I was thinking the normal 4, maybe 6 if the xbox can handle it.
You make a lot of assumptions about how this mode would be designed. If it were designed as you suggest, then yeah it would suck, but there are plenty of ways to make warzone firefight work.
it doesn’t have to be 24 players. I’d be happy with anything between 1 - 12 players. It just needs to incorporate Reqs.
this ‘problem’ is solved by having fewer players, more enemies, and , perhaps, smaller maps.
who says the mode would have to end? Why wouldn’t they just have it end when players run out of lives?
