The Problem doesn’t lie in the Mantis. The problem lies in getting close enough to it to actually use the PP and the fact that the other Team guards it like a fly to a turd.

i havent experienced any turd flies. but if the mantis driver is observant it can be pretty difficult to get in close. cover and hologram are you friends in that regard.
You don’t have to be that close to use it. The mantis moves slowly and can be shot from far distances. Instead of going for the vehicle jack throw a couple plasma nades and stick it while it’s emp’d. Or if you are far away use the charged up plasma pistol again and again until you get directly next to it…you can keep a mantis or any vehicle emp’d continuously until you either hijack it or kill it.
Correct. It’a just as doable to take down as a Scorpion for example. Hell, you can even just pump it full of DMR round from half of the team and knock it over in 10 seconds. Or even a sniper or…god forbid, a rocket launcher or splaser, yknow, those ANTI-VEHICLE weapons. Only legit argument I’ve seen it board it from the front is not an option, although it would be pretty hard to do anyway. Glad there are others that realise it is not OP in the slightest. The SAW on the other hand…

I really don’t find the Mantis OP.
I guess this is comes from the players that run at it head on or decide to engage in a firefight when a Mantis is also shooting you.
It’s not hard to find cover, EMP and plasma/hijack it. Everyone now has ordinance, if you get a splazer, rocket, incineration or even sniper, be sure to look for any enemy vehicles on the map first. You can help your team A LOT if you can laser their banshee or Mantis whilst you still have yours.

This. Very true bro, I just wish more people would realise this instead of complaining. For all the changes they made, H4 is very well balanced.

Haha well I think it is. Think: they have added the Mantis, SAW, Sticky Detonator as well as forerunner weaps, custom loadouts and ordinance. Works pretty well if you ask me, though I think the SAW’s range could be nerfed slightly.
