Actually they explicitly stated before halo 4, that we need to trust them, that they are halo fans, and that they know what their doing.

OP is stupid. The new ADS system is amazing, coming from someone who passionately hates call of duty. It has now made weapons such as assault rifle and smg useful. And don’t come back with -Yoink- “but it’s not halo” that’s a crap excuse and means nothing. Just because halo didn’t have, doesn’t mean they were doing it right.
The ADS in this changes very, very, very, very little to the halo gameplay. The only difference is now there is a balance between weapons. It changes nothing with weapons like the battle rifle.
Also I do not recall 343i telling us to trust them… In halo 4 they THANKED us for trusting them. (Which was stupid because halo 4 was horrible.) but as far as I’m aware I do not recall them telling or asking us to trust them.

Do you seriously think that halo fans could do anything better? They wouldn’t even get their first project started because of their lack of education for being a video game developer. i wouldn’t expect someone who got a xbox live for christmas to udnerstand anything about halo. the ads changes teh gameplay VERY much, krieg posted a list of the major changes the ads have added i’ll go and find it for you.
To sum it up:
Tightens spread
Takes too much space from the screen (especially the DMR)
The animations take too much time than normal zooming used to (especially the Sniper)
Adds nothing to gameplay normal zooming can’t handle
Can result in situation where the player is stuck between scoping and descoping animation
Penalizes hip firing by giving a bonus to scoping, thus encouraging players to zoom as mush as possible
Reduces the skill gap by bringing players who depend on zooming at long ranges closer to pros who can maintain a decent aim with hip fire regardless of th

In regards to smart scope, I don’t agree with increased accuracy when doing so. If they could make the accuracy the same as in hipfire, then I’m okay with it. Otherwise, that will displease a lot of people for an outcry and force 343 to do so a couple weeks after release.

maybe i should clarify a little bit, find game developers who are halo fans (or at least played the franchise) instead of the current game dev, who i believe only touched the game when they absolutely had to for photo ops and crap.

Actually the entire Halo IP is a property of Microsoft and its subsidiaries. As a consumer of said product it is your own responsibility to monitor your spending habits concerning the title. If you want to boycott the product that is your prerogative but as far as Microsoft and 343i are concerned, Halo belongs to them. Your purchase of a copy of the game is an individual users license much like the purchase of a film.

It’s just that with so many comments regarding just horrible feedback and death threats, I’m pissed to see the community’s behavior go down the drain. Hopefully you understand of this. Personally I find no other issue with smart scope but if they could just remove that mechanic, everybody wins. Hopefully, 343 does listen to the feedback and polishes the game with little to no issues by release.

…saying that a developer who failed at their job should be fired…isn’t in any way a death threat…in fact, it sounds like a pretty reasonable expectation…
