To all of you who want a True Arena FPS

I highly recommend checking this out on Steam for PC. http://store.steampowered.com/app/324810/

It’s a game called Toxikk, plays almost exactly like Quake or Marathon, or really any of the old games.

Not my cup of tea, I like Halo 5 the way it is. But if you think you can handle it, check it out!

The misconception is that those who don’t like what Halo is turning into wants Halo to be an arena shooter. The truth is that they understand that Halo was a tactical/arena shooter hybrid, and this new direction on mobility-orientated combat is negatively affecting its fundamental design.

Looks fun. I wish Halo 5 was more like Halo 1,2,3,and Halo 2 Anniversary are however.

So you’d rather Halo 5 was like every other game before it pretty much.

That’s basically Call of Duty in a nutshell, and last I checked, we all hated Call of Duty.

I was playing this a few minutes ago, very fun. If you guys don’t mind I’ll do a tiny review of it here.

  • Fast paced, faster than H5 yet you don’t feel too fast.- Non regenerating health, you need to find health kits to heal. You can also find tiny kits that increase your max health by a small amount.- Everyone starts off with a kinda dinky pistol, you have to find weapons in the map, you lose them when you die.- Not much weapon variety. Each gun serves a purpose, though you won’t be too penalized for using it in the unintended way.- Only one map so far, it’s a bit confusing but map control doesn’t seem to be as important as it is in Halo.Overall I think it’s a pretty good game, not sure If ill be playing it in a month, but still quite fun.

It’s $17.09 on Steam, it’s being advertised as not being F2P, so you do have to pay. So if you have a spare $20 lying around consider giving it a shot.

I’d rather have Halo be like CoD in the sense that it’s the same Halo we know and love instead of being like CoD in every other department such as gameplay/mechanics.

I like Toxikk, but I don’t want Halo to be a true arena FPS.

Halo was never an arena shooter.
I only want Halo to be what it is: Halo.

I don’t remember people complaining about how much Halo 3 “is like every game before it”.

All people want is for the game to stay true to itself instead of becoming some weird hybrid.
I.e. the same thing anyone expects out of any game in any franchise.

The only people taking issue with any game retaining its identity are people who are fans in name only.

Sticking to distinct gameplay =/= Call of Duty. Oh boy, you’ve really swayed me with that one…

I’d rather have something NOT change much, if it wasn’t broken. They banked on not changing the first three Halo games too much with each release…

…and it worked. Any reason why they stopped? The constant frankenstein monster Halo games are getting stale, to be honest.

Sorry, this isn’t really related to Halo 5.
