hopefully someone sees this post…as I would love some clarification on a few points that I will bring up.

the br needs to be a 4sk. having it be 5 automatically makes a skilled player favor the DMR for most encounters. according to killa kc, the DMR has a faster fire rate and the same amount of shots to kill. this makes the br almost useless given the option between the two.

the movement speed sounds like a great improvement over reach. keeping movement speed high allows for better strafing and gun play.

I’m very glad to hear that ‘promethean’ vision works the way it does. does not seem like it is overpowered and could be handy in the right circumstances.

the reworking of bloom on weapons sounds like an improvement. I would like to see the pistol with a bigger clip though. an 8 round clip for a 6sk makes it a somewhat nerfed weapon. add to that, it has bloom.
I would very much appreciate some clarification on the br’s 5sk decision, as they way I see it…making it that brings more emphasis to the DMR. balance is important, but just between these weapons there seems to be a lack thereof.
also, another point on 4sk’s. increasing the minimum kill time for weapons is very important for game speed and for skill gap.
overall I’m satisfied with what I have heard, minus my first point and look forward to some positive input. thanks for taking the time to read.
Actually, I’m thinking that the weapon’s damage was toned down or the shield strength was pumped up. Think about it, during the First Look and Conan video’s did it look like the BR was a five shot weapon if every shot hit? To me the BR looks like a 4bk (burst kill).
Think about it . . . a 8 mag pistol with bloom killing in 6 shots? Even that seems ridiculous to me . . . we’ll see but I’m still thinking that the damage was toned down.
EDIT:
Plus Frankie said this would be the fastest paced Halo game yet . . .
I agree, 4 shot BR has all ways been a tradition. And what you said makes total sense. However, bloom I can not really agree on. If nothing has changed with Bloom after what KC has told us, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Also bloom has always been in the Halo, rather anybody knows it or not. But they never had the crosshair bloom animation like we see in Halo: Reach.
But yet, we have to remember that the Weapons are still being tuned, and DMR has a lower firing rate compared to Reach. (How much it’s been lowered, I don’t know.)
I could only hope.
until we get clarification though, I have to assume that it is a 5sk…even though I timed the br in the conan video.
hopefully a dev sees this before it’s buried and eases some concerns.

Not really. Ones better at closer range than the other.

about bloom, thats what I was saying. the way killa described it was very positive. slight tweaks were all it really needed to not suck.
on the 4sk…it’s more than just tradition, with a 5sk weapon you get slower kill times no matter what the skill level. if you were a higher skill player being given the option of a slightly faster weapon with a little bloom…or a slower one with recoil and a bit of spread…both 5sks…it isn’t hard to see most picking the DMR.

how? supposedly the dmr has a faster fire rate. with a skilled player, the dmr would best it close range every time.

I don’t know, that’s just what they’ve said in the podcasts. The DMR is good for long range and vertical battles, where as the BR is more of a medium ranged weapon.

Definitely agreed here.

but the information we received makes it not the case.
if it was a 4sk, then yes. faster kill speed gives it advantage.
I have this funny feeling that I’m not going to get a response
