We certainly need to voice dissatisfaction at the current playlist and challenge system, but this comes across as entitled.
As a loyal fan since Halo CE on the original, I don’t need apologies, I just need actions

We don’t know Halo Infinite’s peak online statistics. Xbox, Game Pass, Win10 and Game Pass PC aren’t disclosed.
there’s no way they can please everyone.
Free at the cost of selling you the color blue for $8. That’s pathetic.
The biggest mistake in this game for multiplayer is not to have a slayer playlist from the beginning. Pure and utter madness.
Eh BANNNNNNNNNGER, I think I got all the N’s, is subjective.
It’s good but it’s pretty barebones, and as a early release and a “Beta”, shouldn’t have had a functioning store till the actual release date on the 8th. Sadly adding all of this monetization so soon was a shock to the system of a lot of fans, and this backlash is a result. This backlash is also hurting actual valid critiques and generating a lot of negative press for what is a pretty good solid game at it’s core.
Boil the frog in the water, don’t throw the frog in boiling water, or it will jump out before you can boil it.

More flys with Honey.
There are a lot of old phrases that warn of this.
Welcome to the Community btw.
Most fun I’ve had with an fps since h3. Game has a lot of problems but that should tell you what I think of basically every other fps since 2007.
Top 4 biggest problems for me is - desync causing game to not always feel smooth in gun fights (so weird it happens with 20 ping even and lasts the whole match), melee feels weird and inconsistent, cheaters and stability issues on pc. All 4 matter for gameplay now and feel like it must be something easier to fix - but obviously I wouldn’t know. The progression, missing forge, missing coop, subpar battle pass, pita challenge system, missing playlists, missing customization options - all are going to take time to rework and/or finish.
while i dont fawn over it, since it had its faults. halo 5’s Req system was 100x better then the crap we have now in infinite.
in infintie we have 90% of armor customisations locked exclusively behind a paywall of some kind, armor mind you weve had for a decade atleast.
contrast that to how Halo 5 did it, where you could unlock 99% of the armor behind just playing the game, the only problem it had was the RNG nature and it being the only way to get the armor, is opening packs you buy with points from playing and hoping you get the armor you want.
Halo 5 struck the right balance imo between
Player ability to unlock armor for playing the game, and introducing a means to monetise the game and create a steady flow of revenue for the game, since the Req Cards were used in Warzone (which was a mode i loved and played the most in halo 5 outside of Breakout when it was available)
if they bring those back and just let us buy individual pieces of armor and cosmetics with Req Points, itd be perfect.
That these gamemodes and maps (which, to be clear, isn’t everything,) are being added before the end of the year indicates quite clearly that these things are intended to be in the game. Furthermore, none of the updates or posts that you’ve given are 343i stating - especially “explicitly” - that everything we see in this Beta is everything intended to be in the game, nor that everything intended to be in the game will be in at launch.
Three days will tell on this.
That’s a massive understatement. r/halo is currently locked down, because the community can’t discuss these issues in a calm, mature manner.
Well they always say denial ain’t just a river in Egypt. But I guess we’ll see on Dec 8th if they had any intentions for launch which they hid from us
And yeah, I’ve been following the updates community response/interactions pretty closely, so I’m aware r/Halo got shut down for the weekend.
Playing the game for what? 1000 hours?
I’d rather know exactly what I am getting for what, be it direct payments or the challenges.
Any sort of RNG in the customization is absolutely horrendous and trying to make it seem like any sort of positive is downright foolish.
And that’s with sets being all together.
Imagine how astronomically long of a playtime and mathematically small your chances would be to get anything you actually want to use in Halo 5’s method of unlocking gear if it was actual pieces and just the single suits.
and hence why i said
“if they bring those back and just let us buy individual pieces of armor and cosmetics with Req Points, itd be perfect.”
Keyword, Let us buy individual pieces of armor and cosmetics with Req points.
atleast in halo 5 you dont have to spend a DIME! to unlock a armor piece you had back in Freaking Halo THREE!
and again 1000 hours is a total to get ALL Armor, majoirity of people are only going to settle on a few armor pieces in each slot. and not care about the other 590 items.

The 1000 hours was an estimate to unlock the gear in Halo 5 as entire sets. Breaking it down into component pieces would quintuple the amount of filler to stuff into packs.
And big whoop. It’s a new game, new gear. You had to buy the new game to even play Reach, and they still didn’t just hand you the EOD, CQB, ODST, etc armor sets. No, you had to grind to rank up and unlock them, a process taking months in some cases.
Better 1000 hours than $1000 dollars lol
In all my time playing halo 5 and lots of money down the drain, I didn’t unlock a single item I wanted to use on my Spartan, and it stopped me from continuing to play.
will take grinding out 1000 hours over having to fork over $1000 for the same amount of armor, just like how i was fine grinding out 1000 hours to reach Inheriter in Halo Reach for Haunted Helmet, im fine with grinding out 1000 hours to get all the armor in Req packs or other means.
atleast that way i dont feel like im being bent over and forcibly insert f word by 343i without lube.
the only problem i had with Halo 5’s method is not being able to directly target the piece of armor you wanted like we could in halo reach or Halo 3 even,
halo 5 struck the right balance, just fell short of giving player agency in targeting what armor they wanted.
even tho i got the armor i wanted in the first pack or 2, Anubis helm, and my Helioscrill (Beating all MCC campaigns on Legendary, which i did all solo btw) but the RNG nature of them was always a dumb idea to me. but seeing the garbage we got in Halo “infinite” i think id rather take 5’s approach to unlocking armor.
I would add “no promises, do stuff”
I love the game, but I can’t take off the feeling being scammed and that at the end I feel like it is like a bad crash grab and they will do everything in their power to take more money.
Need a specific game mode to complete challenges? Sorry, but you can buy a Swap and try better luck!
Buy the new Reach Battlepass? Too bad most of the cool stuff is on the store. But you still need to buy it tho.
No one wants every last item, and if they do, so what?
