Next time you feel like not adding legacy features, feel like stripping armors in the battle pass then selling their parts for money, for monetizing in a ridiculous manner, remember this.
Remember how the community told you loud and clear what they like and don’t like. We don’t need Ske7ch making excuses. It’s simple: Apologize to your loyal fans and promise you’ll do better. That’s it, that’s all.
This multiplayer made mistakes, you have some of the most die-hard fans on the planet. Simply tell the fans that you made choices that shouldn’t have been made and you will fix it. Give them a free gift (I don’t know what because it doesn’t matter to me).
No more excuses, just tell us you’ll do better than do better. We all believe in you but you need to remember this.
Mate I found the fix to all the issues.
I uninstalled the game.
Sad but true, I ain’t supporting this franchise anymore. Shouldn’t have even bought the Battle-pass, I’m not willing to get nickle and dimed like this.
This game is the most fun I’ve had all year with a shooter, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have issues and that fans shouldn’t voice their disagreements. We need to tell devs we love when things aren’t okay so that they can do better.
The insulting part for me isn’t as much that they did it, but rather that we called them out and told them not to over a year ago for most of the stuff.
What’s happening lately isn’t acknowledging the bad. It’s exaggerating the slightest complaints and trying to make that some sort of unanimous stance for everyone, whether they feel the same or not.
The devs should remember the community backlash when they felt they were mistreated. Whether you feel mistreated or not, the community as a whole has collectively made clear that they do. I don’t have the same complaints as others but I absolutely stand behind the people with complaints because I love this franchise and want it to be the best it can be. We stand together or we don’t get heard.
Customers need to have some critical thinking and criticize the products they pay for when they’re not happy with them.
As for the game, the gameplay is great… that’s the only redeeming quality. Everything else is a cesspool of extremely greedy and unwise decisions.
Crashes? Check.
De-sync? Check.
Predatory Monetization? Yup.
Terrible Progression? Ah yes.
Lack of Regional Matchmaking? You guessed it.
Cheaters? Check.
Damn the list will keep getting larger by the hour. The excuses given lately are getting thinner and thinner, but hey, who am I to criticize people that like lighting their money on fire, right?
This isn’t any sort of collective voice, here. It’s an echo chamber. And it certainly doesn’t help when the forums are lunging at anyone that offers the slightest deviation from what they want to hear.
I’m not going to disagree there is toxicity. I’ve seen it, you’ve seen it, all of us have. 343 needs to remember this backlash. They obviously made people feel mistreated and regardless of whether you or I agree with them, that’s the way the overwhelming majority community feels.
I applaud you for not having the same complaints, I don’t either. I’ve been playing this game happily but if the devs do not remember this backlash, it will just get worse as people will feel unheard
Eventually people will be happy I believe. The devs listen and will make the game into the experience everyone (most people) will love. Until then, this should act as a lesson. Positive voices like yours are vital to ensuring a balanced community so keep preaching positivity when you can. Seriously, you bring balance and it helps the community greatly
Be positive but don’t disregard facts, please. The vast majority of Halo videos, from large and small streamers, are all voicing significant complaints. If not YouTube, then the subreddit. If not there, then this community. Everywhere you look, customers are unhappy. It’s extremely clear the community is unhappy so don’t slag them off as if they’re the minority.
I mean it’s kind of silly if one expects people to state the obvious (The gameplay is good, that the graphics have been fixed and now look great, the music is good, etc.) just to be able to talk about negative aspects of the game. It’s like for every bug or issue you have to justify yourself with a positive comment. It seems like a pretty childish and unreasonable expectation but… hey, to each their own.
Denying that a big portion of the community is unhappy with the current way the game is being handled in many perspectives is asinine and counter-productive.
What, a couple dozen streamers wanting to bank on the current trend of anti-hype? Communities where complaining is the norm and those apt to do so go there?
Not every halo player is a youtuber or watches them. Not every halo player is on these forums. Some of us are playing the game and enjoying it, and they don’t feel the need to go out of their way to be loud about it.
The reason it all looks the same to you is because your feet aren’t moving.
All I see is meaningless metaphor and no substance mate. If you’re so happy with the game why are you busy defending it here without any (sort of) objective and reasonable argument rather than… you know, playing it.
I’m all about objectively talking about things, but you’re now being completely disingenuous by slagging all communities.
I see this because my feet aren’t moving? Now you’re saying that it’s my fault that every single community is upset with the game. We can be civil by not insulting eachother.
I’m a new member here. I didn’t even used to watch Halo videos. I started that recently and every single place I looked, every community was angry. I was one of those fans who just played the game and enjoyed it but only began looking because I personally had issues.
