You were vague with your statement, so it seemed to imply that you thought all “vocal” players who disliked aspects of Reach were in the minority.

I’m just hoping they don’t continue Halo’s pattern off of most of Reach’s design routes. I was hoping they’d see Reach as just a road bump, but seeing that post makes it seem like this won’t be the case, and that Halo 4 will not be a successor to Halo 3, but Reach.

I doubt they will go in the Reach direction. The fact that the community caused a big enough uproar that they are patching the game leads me to believe they won’t want to face all the hate if they decide to go with Reach 2.0. It makes more sense for them to play it safe and optimize the game for online play and use classic halo elements. Then again, we don’t if 343 uses common sense yet.

After working in customer service for over 3 years I can say the saying is completely untrue.
Just looking through the past 7 pages I can see 343 would make a HUGE mistake of listening to the limited, hugely biased whiners. You’d all make Reach much, much worse for the larger community.
At least 343 has the balls to try to keep the whiners AND the more casual players happy. What you all would do would more than likely reduce the population to ashes.
EDIT: Sorry for the hate. Try to see my point that the TU as it is will be for the best for Reach and ALL of it’s players.
And sorry if I don’t get any forum settings right yet…
Yeah, 343i needs to rethink. We need to go back to plain old walk around the map with a weapon that solves everything killing in 4 taps of our RT buttons, occasionly grabbing invis or overshield that’ll wear off in about 15 seconds proving to be useless unless you found an enemy right away to sneak attack with camo or tank through with OS.
Let’s not forget the good old non utility weapon starts also. So everyone will love to rush at eachother using a bullet hose at the same time then simultaniosly smash each other’s visors in.
Yeah if they don’t fix Reach I will never by a 343 game.
I dont care anymore Ill just suffer with AL…ill attempt to enjoy this game. Gonna be hard to do.

I generally don’t care about the TU to the point of wanting to complain about it or anything, but the fact they thought Reach was the best Halo game scares me about how Halo 4 will turn out.

Honestly I’m getting frustrated at the community for trying to make Reach more of the same as the past Halo games.
Halo: Reach is amazing. I like the direction that Bungie took for this game, cause to tell you the truth the gameplay was getting stale for me. When I read suggestions for making Halo 4 more like Halo 3.5, I was starting to lose hope on the next game. I’ve said it dozens of times: Halo 4 should be more than what Halo is now. Not a rehashed version of the last one. It’s the 10th anniversary of Halo. People will be asking what were 343 doing during the 3 years of development
if the game is exactly the same. If that happens, what would happen to Halo?
To finish it off I’m happy for 343 for not changing the core gameplay of Reach and I’m looking forward for the TU. Now I can relax.

I’m actually sort of happy with the TU, or at least I will be so long as 343 makes Halo 4 more like 2/3 than Reach. Then, the people who like Reach can have that, and the people that liked the gameplay that has sort of defined Halo’s online, will have that in Halo 4.

I have never been more disappointed then I am now. Does he honestly think Reach is good? The game is horrible and needs fixing such as remove the bloom and take AAs out of most playlists. Well I guess Reach will remain in its current garbage state and I will never play it again. Well lets hope Halo 4 will be good and be exactly like H2 and H3.

None of you seem to get this, which is why there’s so much stupid hate right now.
The TU will make it so you whiners can have your own MM lobby while those fine with Reach has their’s. Try to think a little before overreacting.
If we get another Halo Reach I swear to God I’ll love 343 forever because they have the biggest talent in the industry on their team and they will learn from Reach’s past mistakes. <3
Is there anyway I can contact 343? If anybody has their phone # so I can talk to Frankie and tell him how to make Halo better for the rest of us please anybody?
