An option to turn off aim acceleration.
This is a huge control change that will allow players to make Reach feel a lot more like Halo 1.

Also a “Turn off Auto-Aim” option would help that too. I personally hate using auto-aim.
Thousands of Halo fans are waiting to fall back in love with the series they once knew. 343, deliver a true Halo experience with CE Anniversary and you win the respect of us.
*Note: I fully understand CEA multiplayer is within Reach multiplayer. That doesn’t mean it can’t be different.
Let the Reach kids have Reach the way they want. They can even play the CEA maps in default Reach multiplayer. But have a refuge for us who treasure classic, pure Halo gameplay by giving CEA its own side of Reach Matchmaking.
The following made CE unique and treasured, and need to be integrated into CEA multiplayer with the title update:
Quick weapon kill times of around 1 second, with a dominant pistol
Fast movement speed and high jump height
Nadable power weapons and power ups that can be shot down
No bloom
No AAs
No bleedthrough
Without these elements, CEA will be just another map pack. You mentioned “classic gameplay elements” in the TU. Deliver on that.
Please read entire post before posting. Seriously, I think your brain can handle it.
Yep No Bloom and AAs just pure classic Halo Gameplay is what I want and bring it back for Halo 4
Alright now the first thing you can change is armor-lock. All you need to do is take it out of every playlist and only put it in playlist with vehicles like BTB or Invasion. Next thing is add Halo 3 Ranking system in Reach. I get matched up with legends and generals and think “Oh, sweet i got good people on my team.” next thing i know there meleeing the ground for no apparent reason and I lose. Not to mention the MLG playlist is pretty much the same thing as every other playlist because of the ranking system. Don’t take out bloom it works perfectly fine, I’m a competetive gamer I use to spam the hell out of them DMR and have a negative k/d and sometimes lose because of it. My friend told me to slow my shot and pace. I did, and now I’m going posative and winning 98% of my DMR battles. Next thing is reduce aim assist on the sniper. I find it too easy to use sometimes. Also what i dont get is that you made forge world yet in the Infection playlist I havn’t seen a single custom map. Speaking of maps for Halo 4 please dont make a majority of the DLC maps for BTB. I feel as though that was the main thing you made the maps for the only small perfect for 4v4 gametypes was anchor 9. One last thing I think the entire community can back me up on is we want some more armor to unlock. Not DLC but armour you have to work to unlock like in Halo 3.(Rouge please <3) K thanx I think that just about does it for my first forum post. I really hope you read this and take my suggestions into consideration.

I’m sorry if this is insulting to any CE multi-player fans, but the multi-player of CE will not work in today’s industry. One dominant power weapon that can kill in 3 shots is not fun to millions of people. Now dont mistake me for someone that hoped on into the Halo series during the sequels. I started out with CE, it was what made me buy a Xbox in mid of '04. I played Halo:CE at my friends house, 8 player split screen, it was fun; but that what CE was made for. It wasnt made on for a massively multi-player online realm.
I hope these classic elements are elements from Halo 2 and 3. Bring back the Halo that millions of people loved, not what Reach brought. None of this second chance hand holding gameplay that rewards the push of a button to become invulnerable.
Fully agree.
There should be be a complete different set of playlists just for Classic style gameplay.

Two things I have to point out: you moved a lot lower and had a lower jump height in Halo CE than in Halo Reach; bloom is a visual representation of bullet spread, which CE has.
More on topic: 343 has said numerous times that a playlist to deliver a more classic Halo experience will be around by the time CEA releases.

what you have failed to realize is that, if the game actually paired like-skilled people together, the damage of the pistol WOULDNT MATTER IN THE LEAST.
its the same weapon for everyone. if you pair a team of level 20’s (for arguments sake) against another team of 20’s, it makes no difference how powerful the pistol is.
if you pair a team of level 50s against a team of level 40s, thats asinine to begin with, and shouldnt be the basis for an argument against the pistol’s inherent power when used correctly.
Fix or remove the blooming reticle, it’s random and it’s not halo.

The following made CE unique and treasured, and need to be integrated into CEA multiplayer with the title update:
Quick weapon kill times of around 1 second, with a dominant pistol
Fast movement speed and high jump height
Nadable power weapons and power ups that can be shot down
The following also must be included for CEA multiplayer to succeed:
No bloom
No AAs
Bleedthrough
Less melee lunge
Less bullet magnetism
Without these elements, CEA will be just another map pack. You mentioned “classic gameplay elements” in the TU. Deliver on that.
TL;DR: While CEA is campaign-only, 343 should have CEA’s side of Reach MM reflect the original gameplay.
“There are some bigger ticket “classic” Halo gameplay elements which people are clamoring for and which we intend to do our best to deliver on.”
“But I can say that, having tried a few of the more significant tweaks, certain “classic” elements are already working with beautiful and deadly efficiency.”
-343, June 28 Halo Bulletin Link
You forgot to mention the lack of melee lunge

“Like” haha
Nice thread. If I were in charge I would just have the CE gameplay pasted over the Reach gameplay. Put the skill back, you know.

id be addicted to halo again if this happened
> You forgot to mention the lack of melee lunge
Yes I would definitely like to see that but I don’t feel that really defines CE gameplay. I just put down the main points I thought were most needed. But less lunge on melee would be a very nice touch.
Weapons disappear off the ground after someone drops them in 40 seconds? That’s completely ridiculous. Not sure what the time was in Halo 2 for that, but in Reach this is another thing wrong with the game. So in Reach, you’ll have to wait for the weapon to spawn back in another two minutes? Great game.
Let’s get that changed in the TU, please.
here are a couple of my issues, and my ideas of how to fix them:
-Armor lock: my problem with it is that (story wise) armorlock is supposed to over charge your shield… so how the heck do you have the energy to recharge your shields WHILE in armor lock. i have seen ppl go into lock with no shields, and come out brand new. my “fix”, make armorlock use up your shields, so it is a risk when you use it. you are over clocking your shields anyway, so just let it last as long as you have shields for.
-assassinations: now i am a rarity on this one, but i LOVE assassinations. i am currently going for onyx in rear admiral and am over half way. that said, the concept of “yoinking” needs to go 100%! i get yoinked more by my own “teammates” trying to get an easy kill, than an apposing force. “showstopers” can stay tho, so the one getting assassinated can be saved, but being yoinked is by far one of the most infuriating things to me on Halo
-bring back “classic multiteam” with teams of 2 as an option
-have a “race” game type, for rocket and hog races… that way those of us that dont want to do that dont need to. or we can do it all day.
-dont have guns spawn with a half a clip… it gets me killed >_>
