I would love the straight forward experience with minimal(None, preferably) spread, that way we can get the arcade style shooter back from Halo 2 where the best strategy and aim win, none of this outlucking the opponent nonsense.

The idea of armor abilities is not a bad thing. The way bungie implemented them is horrible. Bungie made them have to great of an impact on the game. This is my suggestions for the AA’s

For all of the AA’s

  1. Nobody should spawn with AA’s. Make them pickups like camo and overshield in halo 3. The AA’s that are on the map should reflect the map layout.
  2. Increase player movement to around the same as in either halo 2 or 3.
  3. They AA’s should recharge much slower.

Evade- Make it where people can only roll one time and slow down the motion. Rolling at warp speed just looks glitchy
Sprint- Don’t allow sword lunges during sprint. The idea of evade is cool but being able to roll halfway across the map and at mach speed is just ignorant.

Armor Lock- I think armor lock should be more of an instant deflection rather than a 10 second turtle shell in my opinion. If a nade is about to hit you, you should have to perfectly time your armor lock to deflect it. Armor lock should last for around a second.

Jetpack- I hate bloom. But, if it is still in the game after the update, 343 needs to make bloom increase as you are flying up in the jetpack. Bungie tried to make bloom to reflect recoil and be realistic. How is it realistic to be able to aim as well flying a hundred feet up in the air with a jetpack? The jetpack shouldn’t be able to achieve heights to where you can climb to the top of maps and glance upon the how map.

Sprint- I think just making recharge time would help this. I almost hate sprint more than anything. The strategy that is works best on reach is A.) Sit Back(This is camping even though people deny it) until you have the upper hand then sprint full speed to kill your target B.) If you made a dumb choice an are getting destroyed run the hell away. Sprint makes the game like call of duty. Hit and run tactics win every time. In the vietnam war the soldiers on their side were not better. They just were able to camp in the jungle terrain and use hit and run tactics. They were less skilled but they actually were competitive for this reason

Your making some good suggestions there. However, AR seems balanceed to me. It’s rather DMR that should be nerfed.

AL should just be removed from the game altogether.

Even if they used Fragility’s bloom suggestion I am sure spammers will still find a way to manipulate it. Heck, even I probably could.

The best solution to this bloom madness is to just remove it. This game has the best netcode, so why should they ruin it. Halo is supposed to be a first person shooter, not a first person bloomer.

Not much is going to change. We will get a few minor bugs and options fixed. We’ll get a few more options added. But for anything meant to be played with default settings, very little, if anything will change.

The Community Playlist section may get larger due to this TU.

So to say “nothing is going to change” is ridiculous to say. Things will change, it’s just the the people who enjoy Reach as is will stay in their own playlists. The people who wanted a change will go to the others.

This is what I do not want to happen. Default Reach should be Title Updated completely so that players can actually say that they play Halo: Reach and immediately know what the gameplay consists of. Why would 343i want to split the population like that? Just make everyone play every playlist with brand new balanced gameplay settings that way it is an even battlefield across all playlists.

Exactly what I was thinking, if they just spam at the body, you would still be able to get a lucky bloom shot up to the head, therefore pacing would still lose.

No bloom worked a whole lot better, yeah the BR spread in H3 was pretty brutal and sucked, but if they go back to the steady aim H2 system, then best aim/angle/strategy win instead of luck. It’s not rewarding to know you get lucky consistently.

If they don’t give us similar gameplay to what we had in Halo 2 (mostly) then I will most likely quietly retire from Halo until 4 comes out. I will be cautious to even buy that one, for it may turn out to be a flop like this game.

I would most likely cancel my Xbox Live subscriptions. I’ll make a montage of my plays at least and just peace out.

I’ll play Final Fantasy X again because I can actually play it without being frustrated and enjoy the balanced gameplay.

Please give Elite players a playlist where they can play as Sangheili warriors consistently.

I would also love Invasion to work differently, in that if you have a preferred species then you will always be that species. The game will select a group of Spartans, and then match them to a group of Elites. With this, the only thing that would change at the end of each round would be which team’s attacking, or defending. None of this taking turns to be an Elite and Spartan. Also, I just watched the beta again and I much preferred the green/purple palette for each team.

Does the SvE gametype still exist? Same applies with that as above. Let the preferred species option dictate who the player is, and not make it a higher chance of being that race.

Yeahh, i’d probably see what other games would be coming out and just end up playing H3 until H4 and practically pretending Reach didnt exist :stuck_out_tongue:

To reiterate what a lot of people seem to be saying, remove bloom please.

I like that bloom system better in the video but I think they should just remove it

Why?

In Halo 3, and even now they don’t FEEL like grenades, they feel like firworks.

This is supposed to be military grade explosives.

THINGS TO CHANGE:
- For active camo to look the same in your first person view as it does to others. As of now if you looks 50% invisuble, you are actually like 80% invisble to everybody else. Just use active camo, move around a little, and view it in theatre while swithcing from 1st person and 3rd, and you’ll see a huge difference. Making it so it stops flickering in 1st person would be nice too.

  • I’d also like to see the secondary emblem “four diamonds” to go back to how it was in 3, in reach it’s just a duplicate of “4 plots”. It’s annoying to see an emblem removed, more so when it’s just replaced with a emblem already present in game.

  • Can we please get purple and green, not red and blue? I know we can’t have indivual shades of purple and green, or make it so spartans are always green and elites purple, but just make it so the forced color is changed to those two.

- Change arena. Personally, I think you should just apply arena type ranking to every playlist, and then people can look at their preformance without having to go play a certain playlist or gametype.

  • Make use of ALL of Boneyard in non-invasion games, as of now only half of the map is used.

THINGS NOT TO CHANGE

- Don’t touch bloom. Every halo game has had it, this is the first time it’s directly visible, like how we have had health in every halo game, it’s not not always been shown on the HUD

  • Leave grenade damage as is, or even increase it a bit, not quite to beta levels. These are military grade explosives, not fireworks.
