Title Update Discussion

It is VERY annoying when your playing team slayer or something and you assassainate someone and somebody comes up and drops one bullet into the enemie and they get the kill and you don’t.

that’s not something they can fix in the title update, that’s just your bad luck.

It’s working like it should. Personally, if I’ve been hunting an enemy and a friend yoinks! my kill, I just might betray them for the same giggle they just had. If it’s all in the heat of the moment, it’s all good. I’d prefer it that every enemy I meleed, my teammate was there to shoot them in the head. Would make encounters move very quickly.

I only do an intentional “YOINK” when I’m playing with my nephew in a game. He gets sooooooo mad. Other than that if a YOINK happens then that is why there is a medal for it. It’s part of the game and as long as the opponent goes down, that is all that matters right?

Please 343 do this for Halo 4:

  • No AAs
  • No Bloom
  • No DMR
  • Bring the Beloved BR back
  • Good Maps built for Competitive play such as The Pit, Guardian, Narrows, Sanchuary, and Beaver Creek
  • Hitscan
  • Less Laggy games and Preferably Halo Reach Internet Connection and Bullet Registry oh and remove the BR spread and no Halo Reach Mini nuke grenades and bring back H3 grenades and do not forget the 1-50 ranking system

How about bring back the Halo CE pistol instead of the BR. Single shot weapons will always be more competitive than burst weapons. Burst weapons add randomness. Randomness is never good.

TBH a non bloomed DMR with a fast firing rate is better than a BR.

So, what is the multiplayer update then? Because the only thing productive Bungie has done was rework the Arena system, and even then no one wants to play it.

And since your opinion is the truth, then there is nothing to fix. Which means that the developers wouldn’t need to care about their community, which means the community doesn’t need to care about Halo, which means Halo is dead. Good theory.

Nothing is perfect. Reach has flaws, and its up to the community to be honest about it and criticize the game for it. That gives us a right to demand a TU.

Not gonna happen but I forgot to say remove the BR spread and there and now its perfect

The biggest plague of this game is kill times, absolutely hands down kill times. Most issues people have with this game are the in-SANE amount of time it takes to kill somebody. Even after getting them one shot chances are people are just going to Sprint, Evade, or AL away. Another issue is how long it takes for shields to recharge. Sounds crazy but think about it…the longer a person’s shields are down the more time everybody is just going to sit there in a corner waiting for them to return. We need people to get out there.

To fix the kill times I say just give an overall buff to most everything minus: Hammer, Sword, Shotgun, Grenades, Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Concussion Rifle, and Sniper Rifle.

*DMR Fix - For the DMR I’d like to do a bit of balancing. First off I’d like to take the DMR from a 3x zoom to a 2x zoom. This, to me, creates more map movement which allows more team shooting. I’d also like to increase the maximum shooting speed to a tad below the NR while allowing the bloom to reset quicker. Make bloom less of something a person needs to consciously think about it and something that really affects somebody on their last two shots.*Magnum Fix - For this I’d say let the bloom reset a tad faster and add a couple bullets to the clip, just my .02.

*AR Fix - Give the gun some range. Make the gun so it is near useless if you’re spraying unless you are right up in their grill. Force people to shoot it in bursts and make it effective. *AAs need some balancing as well, and the ultimate solution? Put the ones people have issues with on the map. Make people fight for them. They are obviously way more useful then Sprint, so why spawn with them? Make AL, Evade, and Camo neutral power-ups. Put a couple Jetpacks at each starting spawn and possibly a holo. Make it something to fight for, not a super power-up you are handed every single time you die. This too would make kill times SOOOOO much faster.

AL also needs some balancing. Make it so it can’t shed stickies and takes some shield damage from it. Plasma Pistol is also supposed to act as an EMP, right? Therefore shouldn’t it instantly take somebody out of AL? Makes sense to me. Also, make it impossible for somebody to regain shields while in AL. If AL is supposed to be the blatant overcharge of one’s shields to protect them from everything, then why can they regain their shields? It doesn’t make sense from a gameplay stand point or a canon stand point.One last thing?

Add bleed-through for melees, please? The current mechanic is so broken and stupid. What is the point of shooting first if the person sprinting at you and meleeing you is going to win every single time. Halo is about gunplay, not playing a street fighter mini-game.

All-in-all those are the things I would love to see changed. I think it would really promote a lot of quality gameplay for this broken game and fix a lot of frustrating issues for a lot of people, myself included.

TL;DR Version: Overall Goal is to Increase Kill Times

-Fix DMR to make it more BR-esque by limiting it’s overall range from a 3x to a 2x. Make up for it by allowing faster fire rate without bloom punishing it.

-Fix AL by nerfing it with PP overcharge shot to instantly take people out and NO SHIELD RECHARGE WHATSOEVER.

-Add Bleed-through on melees

-Put OP’d AAs on the map (Jetpack, Camo, AL, Evade)

There needs to be a fix on the DMR and Pistol.

The DMR should not be able to beat the Pistol at close range.

I don’t care what kind of rank system you use, but it’s a fact that trueskill in mlg DOES NOT WORK. Simple as that. This would not hurt anybody who doesn’t like mlg as they can just not play it. The settings are the most balanced and skill gapped settings for halo reach currently and it only makes sense to have it ranked.

It is much more skill based than THE ARENA with the loljetpack starts.

Just increasing the size of expansion and faster contraction could help. As it stands the most effective RoF for every fight in the close to medium range 1v1 is “spam” dispite what you may believe. You will miss shots, sure, but those misses are made up for by the RoF. So when 2 skilled players engage in a 1v1 combat 2/3 of the encounters will be decided by whose spammed shots hit first (ie luck). This makes the DMR unreliable and frustrating.

Hey 343 and halo fans,

Their are many things that must be improved of halo reach. With this title update many halo fans that have quit or want to quit will come back to the game and play,have fun, and well actually pay for the map packs, and you’ll get more money. For this to happen 343 industries needs to get this game in shape. The videos you will see are some of the things that need to be fixed. links are below.

CE playlist needs 3sk pistol, no bloom, bleedthrough, fast movement, high jumping, powerful AR, NO AAs, etc to capture the glory of CE. So individual weapon modifiers are a must to get it right. Also, I hope there’s a few playlists for CE Anniversary: team slayer, big team, objective, and FFA at least. The Reach kids can have Reach the way they like it- AAs, slow kill times (Reach has the slowest kill times of the series), but please give us hardcore fans a solid CE experience.

The biggest problem with Reach is AAs, bloom, and slow kill times (longest of the series by far). A general buff to all non power weapons would be great, and would balance AAs like AL, sprint, and evade, which all make it easier to escape. Also, I think it would be best if bloom is just thrown out the window. A type of bloom which punishes spammers always would be acceptable, though.

Please 343 give us individual weapon modifiers in Reach. This would allow CE Anniversary’s multiplayer to be very close to the original’s: 3sk pistol, etc. Do this and you have the respect of me and thousands of other Halo fans.

Does anyone know if there is an ETA for the Reach TU? It sounds like it’s in it’s Alpha right now but I would guess they would release it before CEA comes out, I just hope it releases in the Summer before I go off to school.
