Exactly why reach needs to be fixed. The majority of people who play now won’t care i the game is changed, they play Halo Reach because it’s Halo, that’s the only reason. The only population change would be from people coming back to try the new and better Reach.
First off…Please dont merge this topic it is not the same topic as the other ones. Do you guys see 343 making major updates to reach? Or do you see them making minor changes that don’t fix the game like bungie has done?

Hahaha. I little excited aren’t you? Well if this guy does it I will do the same thing too, because I’m excited also.
An abbreviation for the name of the company who manage this website, the Halo intellectual property and very soon, Halo: Reach. They are called “343 Industries,” in full and are owned by Microsoft. Read more here.

I will do the same because a Golden Era of Halo Gaming will soon begin if they announce the TU. Hordes of people flocking back to Halo like back in the days. Epic LANs with all of your friends. 1v1s and custom games will actually make sense again as well.
All we can do is wait until after 7/7/11 to see what happens.
Well if they change anything I think it will be after Bungie and all that. I think they are letting Bungie have a big Hooray first.
On topic, I think if they do anything it will be minor tweaks but these tweaks could be very impactful. A tweak here and there could propel this game into the upper-stratosphere. Please don’t misunderstand I love this game but I am not adverse to anything that will make it better.

could you direct me to these hints? ive looked for them (because this would be the best news EVER) but ive never found any.

my thoughts EXACTLY. who the heck would be like
armor lock isnt blatantly overpowered anymore, im out!
or
i cant spam my DMR and beat people anymore, im out!
or
grenades arent nukes anymore, im out!
you are 100% right bro. not only would people not stop playing halo reach, more people would RE-BUY the game, and a LOT more people would buy the map packs too!
NOT ONLY THAT, more people would also buy the NEW halo CE:A as well!
after all, whats the point of a CE remake if the multiplayer is still the same terrible halo reach multiplayer? it literally makes no sense for me to buy this if reach isnt fixed before, or as CE:A comes out.
i absolutely WILL NOT spend even 1$ of my money to support a company that ignores the community outcry for change in areas that it is BLATANTLY OBVIOUS could be improved.
The poulation for reach hits about 150,000 at peak hours, the number shown isn’t the amount of players playing reach all day! Thats more then 500,000 daily and you can see that number here on bungie.net i find it annoying when people get that confused!
I hope 343 doesnt change gameplay to much and go overboard with changes, one of the examples of this is what alot of people have been saying on here about removing AAs or using them as pick ups, although alot of people want one of these implemanted they are unpopular with casual players shown by player population in MLG, and Classic both have alternate options with AAs but are some of the least popular playlists!
What would be better is a rebalancing of AAs and Weapons, slight changes would be a huge improvments to gameplay. Also buffing the nonpower weapons to increase kill times would awsome!

Anyone who says to remove AA’s completely is just a person who cannot deal with how imbalanced the current AA’s are and has to dwindle down to desperate wordings. They simply need small tweaks that will make the game play in a perfect and smooth fashion with no AA’s providing advantages above other AA’s. Pickups are a dumb idea as well unless it is Camo, or an Overshield. Once the AA’s have been tweaked, they will fit their own niche’s within each certain playlists and play properly. Small tweaks to various aspects of the game are the only things that the game needs. 343i knows this and i’m sure they have been playing around with AA’s and bloom for the past few months tweaking to perfection to a Title Update. Their gameplay engineers must be having too much fun!

i agree. the reason people dont like AAs are as follows:
1.) they are terribly balanced
2.) lots of them induce frustration or rage
3.) you cant tell what AA people have so its kinda random
its just a LOT safer to simply remove AAs or have them as pickups than expecting 343 to pick up the ball and massively change / tweak every single AA to make them all balanced, and remove 100% of the rage / frustration that some of them add.
the biggest problems are as follows:
-armor lock is blatantly overpowered.
-jet pack COMPLETELY removes the concept of map control from the game (this literally has NO PLACE in non-joke playlists).
-drop shield lasts entirely too long and takes far too long to blow up.
-hologram is the worst AA when compared to anything else.
-using invis is like saying ‘IM RIGHT HERE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS RADAR JAMMING’, its like the OPPOSITE of what you would expect invis to do.
-evade is hands down the best AA when you learn to be amazing with it.
-sprint lets people simply run away when they get a shot or 2 down in a DMR battle. at the slightest hint of danger you can simply run away and live.
so, yea… all of them are horribly implemented. cool ideas across the board, but implementation wise… MEHHHHHH

Very true. Rage inducing and very frustrating are what most the AA’s are causing to the sandbox. The only thing 343i can do which would be the smartest is take all of the communities feedback from the past few months and tweak each AA to perfection. Your right about the JetPack and it eliminates map control completely when people just fly to the top. To fix this, Maybe JetPack can be placed on certain maps in certain playlists to be a primary equipment spawn to where teams will have to rush and fight over. Instead of just selecting JetPack from the loadout menu unless the playlist is certain to where jetpack will have little effect ie, Invasion, Big Team Slayer. Active Camo should also be placed onto the map in this fashion and Active Camo only usable in certain playlists as well.
I have faith that 343i will completely remodel the way we are using our AA’s and make them fit well within the sandbox. Each AA can both have great Positives and Negatives if only they are tweaked and balanced completely especially Armor Lock.
> Congrats everyone. This thread just broke 40,000 views! That’s almost half the population that plays Reach everyday.
Yes, it did. And no, it isn’t. Every time I get on Halo, there are about 130,000 people on at the time . Which means there are more people getting on and off throughout the day. Lulz you fail.

Yes I do fail. And it was a bit exaggerated but you get the point.
And this thread has grown with almost 1000 views within the last three or four days to add to that fire. Lots of eyeballs.
