Armor Abilities:
Armor Lock is removed.
Drop Shield Regenerates Health Faster but is destroyed a bit easier
Sprint and Evade combined. Tap to Evade, hold to Sprint.
Camo now only radar jams the user. Take out annoying thing where you look more visible than you really are from your perspective. Every 10 seconds regardless of your movement your camo flickers.
Hologram no longer flickers, and shows the name of the person that sent in. It continues to look like a real Spartan and reacts like a normal Spartan when getting shot, and only disappears when a normal Spartan would lose their shields.
Weapons:
Plasma Repeater: more accurate and damage boost
Plasma Pistol: damage boost
AR: bit more accurate and large damage boost
Pistol: Beta mechanics and 4 shot
DMR: Beta mechanics an 4 shot. Nerf damage against vehicles.
Needle Rifle: 6 shot kill
Spiker/Plasma Rifle: damage and accuracy boost
Rocket Launcher: Blast radius and damage reduction, better homing on banshee
Plasma Launcher: Beta mechanics, make slightly harder to track infantry, make ground vehicle tracking easier than air vehicle tracking
Laser: perfect as it
Sniper: Less auto-aim, much less, nerf damage against vehicles. Perhaps make it effective against them in certain small areas.
Shotgun: more range
Sword: Halo 2 mechanics with ammo
Gravity Hammer: Make larger area of effect when swung
Grenade Launcher: tiny damage/blast radius increase
Needler: Damage increase, tracking increase
Grenades: larger fuse time, more damage. Explode instantly on contact, bounce more than they do currently.
Vehicles:
Overall: vehicular damage becomes larger
Warthog: no overheating turret
Ghost: MUCH stronger, faster, guns do more damage.
Revenant: blasts fly quicker, vehicles is stronger
Banshee: Halo 3 Banshee bomb. Takes little to no damage when it collides with a solid object.
Wraith: perfect.
Scorpion: slower to move, for barrel to turn, and to shoot
Falcon: turrets have more movement capabilities
Core Mechanics:
DMR bloom fixed as people have described
Jump height, movement speed, and gravity increased to Classic Playlist levels or very close.
Kill times adjusted to be more along Halo 1/2 levels (already done this with weapons)
Custom Games:
Broken options fixed
Individual weapon options added for each weapon to tweak damage and a few other characteristics
Bloom, fall damage, and ho healthpack health recharge options added
Add option so that when someone dies with an Armor Ability it falls with their corpse and can be picked up
There’s a thread which details all the glitches in Reach - the list runs to 4 posts, so I’m not putting them all here, but obviously fixing them is top priority.
Next up would be AL, which has 4 problems that can be fixed easily. Some of these are balance issues and others simply detract from aspects of the game.
Then tweak bloom so spamming is not rewarded.
Finally, add in some classic weapons and vehicles. The Chopper, the BR, the CE Pistol (purely in Customs).
Armor Lock
3)Double beat-Downs. 3 beat downs or slower beat down/ 2 beat-downs. Bleeds through shields
4)Grenades too strong or longer fuse
5)Maps Suck (spawning, symmetrically, boring/ cut corners in respect of campaign oriented.)
6)AFK Boosting/credit boosting
7)firefight lag
8)Forge World maps/ newer stuff for forging(won’t get into specifics)
9)More Custom game Options(V.I.P.,bloom remove,alpha zombie, etc…)
Add SMG/Dual-Wield(looked awesome)/Flame thrower/ increase focus rifle damage and plasma launcher was useful in beta.
Please fix/look at the net code/lag compensation, this is the source of most of the horrible play that has killed this game. I should not be punished because I have a good connection,yeah host advantage in the previous Halos was there ,but who thought that it was a good idea to reward people with bad internet? But this is just not even fair,I have spent more time on the phone with my ISP (verizon FIOS) thinking it was a problem on my end only to find out it is the game.
The frames being dropped because of this is just crazy. I think Bungie added all the fluff( bloom and AA’s) because they realised how bad it turned out and these would cover up the bad coding. I know they changed the lag compensation and started messing with how much they could get away with back in the beginning of 2010. This not the way to do things,yeah sure they wanted to push the hardware and make a great visualy looking game but there had to be a trade off.But dont scacrifice online game play to get it. The guys over in COD/BO’s have the same problem with the lag compensation issue(hmmm?? wonder why?) I should not be 2 seconds behind someone else. And I’m not just talking in competitive games,but screw around fun like griff ball where your not even in striking distance and they kill you before your even near them. So why play? It’s not fun. I can understand some of this, but is it really necessary to cover the forums with “I think Reach should be this way and so it needs a patch” threads? Can you not focus on some of the existing topics on this subject?

I want all non power weapons except the DMR buffed because right now the DMR is the only weapon you’ll ever need, I don’t like that in a game. And the Magnum should be turned back the way it was in the beta, it’s basically useless now with the crazy amount of bloom.
That means patching the bloom by either removing or so that spamming is not rewarded, nerfing the OP grenades, allowing you to move faster/increase strafe acceleration, fix the awful shield system, and removing AAs and replacing them with powerups (but please, fix them).
Also, a ranking system similar to Halo 2 or 3 would be great. Right now most of the games are just a bunch of people running around and not caring about their team, teamwork, etc, because there’s nothing on the line. Also, it’s hard to get even matches although there is supposedly a trueskill system being implemented behind the scenes. Halo is almost a completely different game playing at the level 50 Halo 3 level vs social Halo 3 or Reach. I miss the intense ranked games from Halo 3.

What if you’re good at the game but still don’t enjoy it?
I know that’s the case with almost all my friends that I used to play Halo 3 with all the time. They were pretty much all level 50s. They’re good at Halo, but Reach is just frustrating to try to play competitively due to many of the broken game mechanics.

“Broken” and “Different” are two very different things; you can’t say a mechanic is broken because it is different from Halo 3. Although I agree there are defiantly some things that need tweeking because all games need some different, fresh additions to keep overall gameplay smooth, the game is not broken.
I also fail to see how players good with H3 are not doing well with Reach, I didn’t play H3 much and only got to Colonel Grade 3 or something, but I’m rocking with Reach, its much easier overall. I’m at a lost why there is so much hate for this game.
I hope 343 sees the flaws that exist within the game and I also hope that they can see what this game can truly become once its imperfections are fixed. A whole new era of competitive gaming is waiting to emmerge but only 343i has the power in their hands to make Reach become what it was meant to be.
I hope you are listening to our community as a whole 343, because with everything everyone is stating, even I can see a clear image of the perfect solutions to everything that is wrong with the game.
Please for the sake of competitive gaming, and making Halo:Reach the game we all expected it to be and want it to be for many years to come.
I honestly don’t know what I’d like to see changed, if anything. Certainly what I’ve noticed, about Bungie, is they seemed to of wanted to design Halo: Reach in a particular way, according to their vision - they wanted to revitalise the Halo formula; introduce new gameplay mechanics, and tweak the existing gameplay found throughout the Halo trilogy. In a way, it sort of makes sense. Halo: Reach is a standalone title, not part of the core trilogy, and so should by that principle, have its own tone, direction, and gameplay. Sure, perhaps Bungie didn’t do as well as they could of, and maybe should of took a little more time in balancing the sandbox - but should 343 Industries choose to change what Bungie laboured over for three years, according to their vision, and their idea of what a standalone Halo title like Reach should be?
