Title Update Discussion

> I think reverting to the H2/H3 ranking system would be the best option to bring people back.

The Title Update will only be pleasing for those that want a Halo: Combat Evolved feel of Gameplay.

And I would say that would be like a 1000-2000 Player Increase. Anniversary’s sales are going to go high since it is in fact a Halo Game to its core.

So I wouldn’t say Reach is dying or all hope is lost for it. The game has been getting stronger thanks to the Community Feedback and it will continue to do so until Halo 4 comes out. It may even continue on from there.

I honestly think its people like you who ruined reach. All you ever do is complain on the forums, quit from games and then when I tell them this, I get banned for attacking them. I digress, I liked reach I still dont understand why people troll it but thats their opinions and I dont care. I still find a game in like five seconds, and play that game and wait what??? Thats right I dont freaking quit when my opponent armor locks.

I would say, from what I’ve seen, that the majority of those who complain about Reach are actually the better players, who don’t quit when they see an opponent who AL’s. They see what Reach contains and why it ruins Halo’s great gameplay.

I almost agree with this as it has been left very late and the halo community is dwindling. I can’t imagine what the big titles of Gears, MW3 and BF3 will do to the remaining population.

Quite a few of my friends at Uni here did play a good bit of halo but were turned off with Reach and I’ll probably go with the trend and pick up what they buy.

I don’t see myself ditching Reach but it won’t be my top played game unless the maps and title update does wonders. Like others have said it comes out at a really competitive time in the market which is one of the reasons I think we’re getting the beta hoppers before the big releases.

So the competition is who has the most casual love, not the most hardcore love?

I standby the players I have friction with, without hesitation, as support for the hardcore type of love. I care nothing for the casual lovers, the promiscuous kind and their needs.

I do not fault blindness due to passion, I fault the rational spawned from it.

Well if you’re into the MLG scene Halo Reach hasn’t been doing very well. Not sure why you’ve gone all philosophical as you haven’t really addressed any of the points which have been made

Extending the conversation from the other thread(somewhat), 343 should let iloveBTB run the BTB playlist b/c those are the kind of people that know what they are doing and will bring life to the game.

One less playlist for 343 to manage and better gameplay comes out of it.

Didn’t I.

The TU may bring some people back, like many of the hardcore community who were disgusted with Reach and were waiting for a TU to release. However, the population will probably remain the same with a slight bump in pop. It seems that the TU was not made to please the casual crowd (the ones who Bungie targeted Reach for originally), but as an “olive branch” of sorts with the Competitive crowd that felt abandoned, and others who have concerns with Reach, but still play it.

I think 343i understands that you will never be able to contain the Casual crowd, and should only cater to them in the hopes of gaining a bigger population/following.That’s what Bungie didn’t get.

Question: Will the Armor Ability changes/Sword Block go into general effect on the TU’s release, or are they playlist-specific changes like the Bloom and Magnum?

After not having played Halo: Reach since Febuary I was eager to get my Halo: Reach Fix again and was hopeful that they made some changes to the way Halo: Reach played online.

Sadly though, even after 8 or so games, I was literally BORED out of my face, Really even after 6 months of not playing I was still getting bored. I tried playing cometitively, that didn’t work ( Competitivity in Reach? ) Tried playing mindlessly running round AR melle’ing people, seemed to be fun for a game or two, but after exhausting virtually EVERY playlist on Reach I am just as bored again as I am now since when I sold it 6 months ago.

I’ve been playing Halo ever since the Day I got my hands on CE, Avidly. And The features shown in the title update cannot come soon enough!!!

I know the feeling. I had a LAN party for CE after about a week after not playing Reach, and then when I started to play Reach, it was appalling on how slow it was.

Too right. Everything is so dumbed down and slow.

Pukes

Even when i am absolutely destroying kids i feel so frustrated and bored haha.

Not gonna lie, I actually felt a little sick when I started playing in Reach. I had to force my brain to slow down to match the speed of Reach.

Judging the speed of Reach, it must of taken you 4 hours to write that sentence :P.

Don’t you mean 5 hours?

At least with the TU, it will be down to 3 to 4 minutes.

I can’t wait either
