I am glad they addressed the items that have been floating around in this Bulletin but the community needs the full list of what is being addressed.
I’m referring to map refinements, vehicle refinenments, physics, bugs (overshield, gauss warthog, etc.), and any other items.
Also, when the TU does hit, I don’t know if multiple variations of bloom beyond two (Vanilla and Classic) are good for the flow of games. I don’t want to have to adjust my shots at different bloom percentages for every playlist.
> The title update is extremely unnecessary in my option. Armor Lock dosent need a nerf. Its fine and should be a “glowing ball of invincibility”. I really need it to take blasts from Fuel Rod Cannons and Wraith Hadoukens, and then some. The energy sword also should be able to be blocked by weapons other than the sword itself. I can just see it now, people running with sprint lunging people. Gosh, this is worse than people with Commando in Call of Duty. Also Bloom is very good thing for Halo. Bloom adds another endeavor to master. It requires timing and skill for use and just because people can’t master it dosent mean to remove it. I miss Bungie already because they never tried to fix something that wasent broken. -_-
Gahh you still don’t know that it’ll be in another playlist

Specifically what? All I know is that bloom will be playlist specific, if the other are too, please inform me. Thank you

Fixed.
You’re also failing to consider several of the other necessary changes that the TU contains, i.e. melee bleed-through (which will be a godsend) and the ability to disable Sword Block.

Whats fixed? Also, I’m not good with acronyms, so you’ll have to explain what “TU” means. Also Expalin melee Bleed-through and no sword block in multiplayer will end in disaster.
Please enlighten me as to why a weapon that is basically a lightsaber (you know, the laser sword from Star Wars that can cut through anything) should be able to be blocked by anything else.

ARMOR LOCK
Overpowered currently as it is, as in the bulletin, a “pause button”. The nerf was to make it actually suit the purpose of saving your life as a “save your butt” button. I am sure one wraith shot will still be survivable. And the fact that waiting for a user in armor lock just slows down gameplay.
BLOOM
Currently random. How? Have a guest and yourself go into a custom game on a decent-sized map. Stand a hundred meters away, aim for the head of your opponent, and SPAM the trigger. Who dies first? How many shots? It should be 5, considering you are aiming for the head. But that’s not the case. You see, bloom just is so random for gameplay. It goes too far away from the original Halo roots where “the better sharpshooter wins”. Now, go to about forty meters apart. Have both people shoot at the same time but one person times their shots and the other spams. Who wins? Try this three times. Compare the amount of health/shields that the victor still has with the victor of every test. It’s so unpredictable. Bloom may not be as bad on local system link or same console games but over LIVE, lag and connections are additional factors of the unpredictibility.
SWORD BLOCK
Very random as not many people can do it. One of the main reasons people hate this is because of the over-LIVE-factor. Better connections are able to block the sword more easily. Also, why should a sword of pure plasma/laser/whatever-its-made-of be able to be blocked by a wrist? Without blocking, the sword plows through your chest armor. What? Is wrist armor more protective or something?

A link would be appreciated to the “halo bulletin”.
From what I have read in today’s bulletin, changes to bloom and the magnum definitely are playlist-specific. But changes to armor lock and active camo apply to all playlists. At least that’s what I understood. I mean, it would defy any logic to fix something that’s utterly broken only for a few playlists and not all of them.

Well first, Thank You for being really specific with your response “MFrog5”. Armor Lock is should take a tank shot or 2. Also if you see the other players comrades on your radar, book it. Don’t stay for ONE kill and putting your life on the line. Bloom also brings a another skill to master and there are ways to lower bloom to increase chances of a hit. I have no problem hitting from across the map. Also blocking swords brings a good nerf to the sword. To stop people from running on countdown, for example, and cutting them down when there is nothing they can do about it (And if your like me you can say “hey what about the shotty!?”, yes the enemy can secure that too. Im sorry I cant go into this any further, I have to respond to other people.
