It’s probably for the better that they wait. The majority of the population will try out the new updates, get bored of gray forge world remakes after a week, and then decide that they don’t like the gameplay experience as a whole.

Yeah, let’s put bloom in the playlist that’s supposed to emulate Classic gameplay. That makes sense right?
For the last time it’s not called spamming if there is no bullet spread. It has a set firing rate. That’s like saying when you play Halo CE, “omg he just spammed his pistol resulting in me getting 3 shotted! What a noob!” You just pull the trigger to get the most out of the firing rate the weapon can generate without worrying about the randomness the DMR currently has. They will be testing this gameplay out at HaloFest and bs angel also set up a thread specifically for those players who were lucky enough to play the TU changes so after they play, they can leave feedback and 343 will try to improve the experience and balance things out before the TU goes live.

why? every halo has been like this. buffing the ar only will reward rushers.
Will they allow people to disable the killfeed? It’s annoying and it basically makes my reticule disappear in my eyes.
Since bloom is going to be removed with the upcoming TU, will this just be affecting the Classic playlist, or will it be every playlist in Reach?
Personally, I love the fact that 343 is removing bloom, but I’m just wondering if it is a game-wide change, or playlist-specific.
All the changes will only be in classic playlist at start, but if they gain popularity, they will be added to a wider range of playlists.
No, no, no, bloom only generates randomness, being that, spammers can get away with spamming at medium/long range and still get kills. With the removal of bloom, everyone is on an equal playing field, the player with the better shot will win, no questions asked.

343 isn’t going to do it. They believe that Reach’s multiplayer is fine and doesn’t need much fixing. What they can do (and I hope they do) is fix the DMR bloom and decrease its bullet magnetism. So that pacing is more effective for medium to long range.
People saying the TU is unnecessary is not true, people saying the classic playlist is unnecessary because nobody is playing it is not true. I have been on bungie forums for almost 1 year now, i joined right after halo reach came out because first then, i had something to complain about. I have been here voting for a more classic feel since then, but … i have never ever played the classic playlist in reach because i know it is not classic enough. The TU might take me and other players back to reach. Im also hoping for a better ranking system in this TU, for many reasons actually, i love to be challenged, i would like to find out who is better and worse than me over the playlists, and i love to help beginners, especially in halo 3.
Did anyone else notice that there is no reticle bloom on the dmr. At all.

The title of the video is so wrong, nothing was ever broken about Bloom and Armour Lock.
Anyways, it’s said that bloom will be turned off of new gametypes 343i release after the TU is released.
Armour Lock however, is unconfirmed, it’s pure speculation as it also could be said the guy in Armour Lock could have came out at the same time the grenade exploded.
Time will tell, roll on Halo Fest, two more days.
