If they take the bloom out of the Halo Reach online multiplayer with the update in November. At the most, the bloom should be taken out of classic. Taking it out will fundamentally change the gameplay. And just because a bunch of noobs cry about it doesn’t mean you should give in. The only thing that should be “fixed” is the beat down system (because you can hit air and still contact, especially when the person is evading). So many people complained about the br spread, but Bungie didn’t just change it. Each Halo, up until November if the bloom is taken off, has taken more skill and work to be good at. Halo 2 was a point and shoot, no skill whatsoever. As long as you had a red marker, the shot connected. Halo 3 accounted for spread, recoil, and distance. Halo reach kept all three and added a bloom. Taking out the bloom is reverting to the past. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m not a Call of Duty fan. I don’t like playing the same game over and over again. It would make this game far too much like Halo 2. All the people crying need to get over it, and 343 should be more worried about keeping / creating a great game rather than giving the few what they want. Halo has its loyal fans, that’s who they should care more about. And while they will make some people happy, they will be upsetting others as well.
Uhh…
The update is only for their own playlist. It’s going to be called “Remastered” and be placed in the same area as “Team Classic”. The update is also giving more options to custom game variants.
I don’t know where you heard your info but I suggest you change your tone.
Someone, please tell me the original poster isn’t serious.
If you have no respect for 343…WHY ARE YOU HERE?
You make a profile just so you can insult them with inaccurate facts? Unacceptable.
EDIT: I am yelling at HoustonMassacre

None of the weapons in Reach have recoil, and all the UNSC weapons are hitscan. I see no validity in your argument.
Halo 2’s skill gap came in button combos and dodging enemy fire, it wasn’t all “point and click,” you were just bad at it. At its core, Reach is the best Halo, but things like bloom stop it from properly achieving that title.
I don’t know if the addition of bloom has anything to do with this or not, but I am far better at Reach than I ever was at Halo 3. Considering the fact Halo 3 had the BR with 3-round burst and Reach has the single-shot DMR, I really don’t want to overstate the effect bloom has on my gameplay. I am sure there are other factors, not the least of which being I play a lot more Reach than I ever did Halo 3. I don’t care about bloom one way or another on fully automatic weapons, either. Bloom is still not as frustrating as trying to control dual SMGs in Halo 2.

No pffence, but I think that noobs are the ones that defend bloom as it is.
And don’t worry, they won’t remove it for every playlist, but only for some (e.g Team Classic and MLG).

Halo 2 had a much faster game pace, you needed cat like reflexes to hang at the top of MM and to perform the button combos accurately and effectively. The movement skill is also very good, there was alot you could do with strafing and working with your environment due to the higher jumps. Things like “strongsiding” and air moves were common.Go watch some old montages and youll see the insane reflexes and multitasking that goes on during Halo 2. The aim assist was bad, but I still never lost 1v1’s to people below level 30 most of the time. Setups and map control was key, and there was a good balance of individual skill and teammwork which there certainly isnt in Reach. Halo 3+Reach are WAY more teamwork oriented than Halo CE+Halo 2 and its not complex teamwork like CE had but the easiest teamwork to perform, stay close together and teamshot. Its a numbers game alot of the time in H3+Reach which wasnt the case in Halo CE and wasnt always the case in Halo 2.
Here watch this montage and youll see the insane reflexes and game pace that went on in Halo 2. I am sorry but the fact that 95 percent of the people who played Halo 2 could never do some of the things hes doing puts it in another category of individual skill that Reach will probably never reach.

But no Reach will never be the best Halo even with no reticle bloom, it will never touch Halo CE+Halo 2 with all the -Yoinked!- up game mechanics and gimmicks it has but it has potential.

I agree. with bloom gone, Reach will be a whole new game.
Bleedthrough melee is back also.
You’re a bit late, it has been official for about a week already.
I was in Puerto RIco for two weeks. I was out of the loop =(
With Bloom gone, the DMR will be overpowered.
Anyway, what I hope to see, is this:
Forge Update!
Choose to just move the X or Y (vertical or horizontal) axis only. Making the Forge a much easier map making tool. Especially when working with 5 degree rotation snap.

The DMR will be just as powerful as it was with bloom than it will be without bloom. The only difference is that it will be more rewarding for the player who has the better aim instead of the player who gets the lucky shot.
I want someone from 343i to say, “The Bloomless precision weapons and bleedthrough melee will extend across all playlists including vanilla team slayer as you now know it. When you go into team doubles, the DMR and NR will NOT have bloom.”
That’s all I want.

Well, you’re not going to get that. As I explained to someone else in another thread, and as 343 and their employees have said multiple times, the playlists will split amongst Default Reach, TU Reach and Classic Settings.
So you might get a TU Reach Team Slayer, but don’t suddenly expect every playlist to use the TU settings (except for bug fixes).
