BR wasn’t OP. The DMR has an all-new definition for that. It shouldn’t be able to kill Banshees.
I miss CE where everything was balanced.

As long as the bloom-less DMR has a fixed fire rate, life will be all good.
I find it incredible people are getting upset over something that doesn’t affect the core experience in anyway what so ever LOL.
A person is intelligent, but people are stupid.
Here is my gripe. I want a proper classic experience, but I do not want a one weapon gametype. Some of us want to play in a classic way, without having everyone resorting to the DMR. If you guys want such an overly versatile weapon anybody can use, go play Halo 3. This needs to have a classic experience that in just as fun as it is balanced.
The DMR can be bloomless, but it needs to be a 7 shot kill. Getting a kill with 7 shots perfectly landed will take far more skill than the 2 seconds it would take to land a mere 5 shots.
Besides, with classic it is inevitable there will be a DMR spawn version. That would be lame with bloomless 5 shots. yawn
It’s not out yet. At least wait until then to start complaining.

This.
Take the 100 most intelligent people on Earth and lock them in a room, and they instantly turn into a horde of morons.
Just wondering? No bloom= awesome
i fail to understand why people think that dmr will be op. imo if you think that then halo multiplayer isn’t for you. h ce 3 shot pistol h2/h3 4 shot br, all without bloom.
> Why is everyone making this their main point to oppose playing in post-TU Classic Playlists? They say it will take us back to the days of H2/H3’s “overpowered” BR. Also everyone is trying to make a point of the sandbox being rendered useless because of a bloom-less utility weapon.

> The classic playlists will be their own playlists, you still have the broken Reach to go back to. What many proclaim as the “golden age” of Halo is the BR from H2/H3. It wasn’t overpowered in the least, the only way you can even consider it OP is if you personally sucked with it. If you could aim, strafe and out-smart the enemy then you would have no problem. The sandbox in Reach will not be affected by the bloom-less DMR, the only thing it will affect is the luck factor that is so prevalent in Reach. Nothing is going to stop me from using the Needler over the AR, or a Plasma Rifle over AR. I’d rather have any weapon than Reach’s AR, post-TU or otherwise.

> So I ask you, if you have ever brought the above to point, why do you feel that way?
Well, since you asked so kindly:
It’s not that I’m complaining, it’s simply how I feel. Granted, the suck-ie will still suck but now they don’t have to worry about bloom; they don’t have to worry about pacing their shots, they don’t have to worry about crouching, so now they can spam their shots even more. All they gotta do is aim to break the shield, then the head and that’s it. You’re down. Typical H3 technique. In my belief, the skill gap only shrinks even further. The DMR will now over power the rest of the weapons and render them useless. You say there was no skill behind using the DMR when there really was. Pacing, crouching to make the reticule shrink faster, and actually aiming. There was alot involved in actually making an accurate kill. All that is gone now, and it’s easier to kill.
I’m not saying removing the bloom is wrong, it’ll only help me kill faster without skill.
everyone talk about it LOL.
Look at the front page and you’ll see your answer.
I’m all for the title update. As long as ALL precision weapons have no bloom and the automatic weapons get a buff so they stand a chance. I want a Halo 1 styled sandbox where every weapon had a niche and an effective range where they would beat all other weapons.
> It’s not out yet. At least wait until then to start complaining.
I take you like some of the other people aren’t fully reading my post…
Those are not my opinions, merely the opinions of the few that oppose the TU and playing it as well as their points. I am completely against anything in the original Reach, I love playing competitively.

WHAT!!! I love halo 1 the most. still play it on lan, but come on the ar was useless against the pistol. pistol could easily kill anyone with any weapon.

Agreed.
I wonder if no bloom will be a universal change or just a playlist change. Hopefully it is both

I was responding to Randy. Should have quoted him.
Though, your title can mislead people into thinking you’re saying it, instead of raising it as what others are saying.

Your kd is so low since you dont know how DMR works right now. You crouch and sit in a corner and put shots. In 1v1s you aim at belly and spam, sometimes waiting for the reticule to shrink for head otherwise spam body shots for a fast kill. IN CQB you spam at full auto then go for melee. The DMR was the first and only precision weapon you could “spam” all the other were nothign but solid aiming and only 100% skill. trust a better players view on this like trusting a doctor over the mailman for health advice.

So I take it you feel as though there is no randomness in Reach’s current DMR bloom? And just asking here, but how would your shot going exactly where you want them to take away from skill. It will only improve kill times. In my experience I have seen way too many people spamming the DMR, rarely do I see pacing and even then I myself have killed pacers with spamming the DMR. Pacing is only optimal for long range, and even so with the game being built around AAs they still have a change of getting away.
My thing is with Reach is just that it caters to more casual players, tossing the skill gap out the window and tries to give everyone a chance. And no one deserves artificial skill on spawn, or a second chance if they screwed up in-game. A kill is a kill and you should never be robbed of one because of faulty game-mechanics.
