Well here’s the truth: now there is nothing stopping the better players from smoking you based on their ability to aim and their ability to aim alone. No more luck, no more excuses, “Two men enter, the better man leaves. The lesser man is respawning, and that’s Halo.”

Personally i cant wait to start throwing “adapt” around. This is going to be better than Christmas >0<’

lol pretty much.
@ Mike: I will be saying “adapt” like there’s no tomorrow

This.
I’m going to say “adapt” everytime someone says to add bloom back

So there are lots of things that people want fixed for this Reach title update. The most common (which I agree with) include:
Remove bloomRemove armour lockNerf other AA’s & have them as pickups onlyMelee bleedthrough1-50 ranking systemReduce explosion damageWatch films with party
Well, here are some things that are never (or at least hardly ever) touched on, which I think would be amazing fixes:
RAGDOLLS - Aesthetics are a big factor for me, and ragdolls can be great eye candy. No one cares about this, but if I had my way, I guarantee people would enjoy headshots (or even kills) a lot more. Anyway, ragdolls on Elites/Brutes are -Yoink!- beautiful. Especially when you headshot them with a sniper. However, spartans have this horrible preset animation that is forced over the ragdolls, and makes it much less satisfying. Even when there is a wall behind them, they will continue the stupid backward roll on the spot instead of colliding with the wall or falling over a balcony. Why can’t they just have the same ragdolls as Elites/Brutes?
SNIPING - The sniper aim assist has been drastically reduced for Reach, but to make up for it, sniper bullets can travel through any part of the body and into the head. I think it would be so much better if the aim assist was just increased again and if the bullet has to actually hit the head.
LAUNCHING - There is absolutely no chance of lauching vehicles/objects for collision kills in Reach. It was a whole other side to Halo 3. I saw so many amazing splatters/betrayals/suicides. In Reach, that side has been brutally murdered. You can’t launch vehicles because they just shatter on the spot, and an explosion/hammer swing will simply nudge objects/debris instead of launching it.
I never play Reach. I’m always on Halo 3. If these changes are made, I will always be playing Reach. That simple.

Agreed 100%. There was always something more satisfying about Hammering someone near a wall and watching their dead, flailing body slam against it and fall to the ground.
Seeing as I rarely ever use the Sniper I won’t comment on this as I’d probably embarrass myself.
Again, 100% Agreed. Some of the best times I ever had on Halo 3 were using a Brute Shot to launch a Mongoose into the air from the backseat, and attempting Sticks, or No-Scopes, or even whilst my driver was approaching someone, in an attempt to get a real stylish splatter. It was jolly good fun driving a Goose up to the big Dune on Sandtrap, having someone on the Passenger seat and Hammering it over the map. It just doesn’t seem possible on Reach.

> Nothing has been confirmed, but if this is done for all playlists it presents its own set of problems, for example more cross map shooting, and the fact that the DMR will be even more powerful than the NR than it already is, unless the Nr becomes bloomless too, then everyting will be gravy.
Removing bloom from the NR would make it OP. Remember, the weapon is automatic and it takes three body shots to kill (supercombine).
Hi there, I’m not sure whether other people in the public know this and I’ve somehow missed this piece of information or it is unknown as of yet but when the TU comes out with the more classic feel to Reach, will we just get the 1 playlist in which the DMR will be bloomless or will there be multiple playlists incorporating the classic feel (TS, Swat, MLG etc) ?

Im sure there will be more upcoming playlists that feature bloomless weapons along with bleedthrough melee.
Ok thanks, will they slowly make their way into the game at regular intervals or will it be like the Reach matchmaking all over again but just with these new additions?
Hey i noticed 343 is taking bloom out in the TU. I thought that was great. I know that this is and Update for the classic experience only but i was thinking that if they brought in 1-50 again it would make most people play alot more. 343 Please bring back what made halo competitive. I want to have a rank in MLGeeee.

as of now, we’re not sure whether the bloom, bleed through, and no fall damage is toggle-able, as in it could be in some playlists (classic, maybe mlg, custom games, ect.) or if its a change to all of halo. on aug 28th when they officially annouce the details of TU you’ll know
You will have the Default Reach Playlists with default reach settings for Team Slayer, Team Objective, etc. and when Halo: Anniversary comes out, that game will have it’s own playlists that will have more of a classic feel to it. (bloomless, bleed through etc.) The TU is not designed to slowly change the whole Halo Reach experience but to add on to it from Halo Anniversary.
> I feel that the DMR shoots too fast, and that could be a problem when you’re shooting someone from across the map.

> The magnum also needs a nerf if there is no bloom on it. The most overpowered thing ever.

> Other than that, I really like the looks of the TU.
Very true. i saw the bleed through melee and remembered the good ol days.
