I went when I saw that. I wouldn’t call it speculation ether. The person was hit by a gernade while in armor lock and his AA gauge went down significantly which shows that it has been nerfed to some degree.
So I just watched the Damnation gameplay video and saw that Bloom was taken off of the DMR.
My prediction is that all of the people who have been defending the Bloom will be the ones complaining when the TU hits that people can “spam” kills. Well here’s the truth: now there is nothing stopping the better players from smoking you based on their ability to aim and their ability to aim alone. No more luck, no more excuses, “Two men enter, the better man leaves. The lesser man is respawning, and that’s Halo.”

Does it explain how his AA gauge went down though? I would say no.

Halo was gone? Geez, then what was I playing these past ten months?
Seriously though, nobody is going to be forced to play the new TU features. For the first time, there will be a section of a game for people who don’t like that game. The people who didn’t like Reach’s features (Bloom, AAs) will have a little corner of Reach to themselves. However, nothing outside the direct realm of Halo anniversary is going to be changed with the TU. That’s excluding Custom Games, but nobody seems to pay mind to that.

Reach may well turn out to be the best halo to date, more TU news is needed, but for once with Reach i’m optimistic.
Oh and did you see that sick PR bleed through melee. Epic!

Nothing has been confirmed, but if this is done for all playlists it presents its own set of problems, for example more cross map shooting, and the fact that the DMR will be even more powerful than the NR than it already is, unless the Nr becomes bloomless too, then everyting will be gravy.
A new set of “Classic Style” playlists, which omit many of Reach’s revolutionary new features. This is what you can expect changed in the update. Keep in mind that everything here is also a custom game option.

Exactly. This is exactly whats going to happen. Think about 5 shotting someone on Hemmorage. This is gonna get dirty fast.

I think CE style gameplay will make a return: the quick and the dead.
