A toggleable solution to bloom that works. Bringing back bleedthrough for non explosives/power weapons is a close second. By AA’s out, I’m assuming that you mean more playlists without AA’s, not taking them out of the game entirely.
More Forge/Custom Games options.
My top change i would want for sure is HEAD SHOT DAMAGE! it seems like no one else really cares about it. I remember from halo 2 and 3 where it was satisfying when you would get a 4 shot. but in reach someone can get your shields down in 4 BODY shots. that really upsets me. If the title update were to integrate headshot damage, i believe that tweaking the bloom wouldn’t be necessary… (regardless though, it needs to fixed). Also, i really wish they brought the old shield system back… bleed through damage specifically speaking.

I disagree on the headshot damage, if I remember correct, four shots to the head with a BR on Halo 2 & 3 was the same as 3 body shots and 1 headshot.
The same applies for Reach, five shots to the head or four bodyshots and 1 headshot.
Can someone tell me the realistic posibilities of actually changing reaches ranking system back to H2s/H3s. I really wish they woulld. Thanks for the opinions.
Halo 2 and 3 ranking systems were too confusing.
I like the credit system but if it could buy small benefits like a peice of armor that gives more ammo for GL or DMR and the fact that if you win or lose giving you credits makes you feel special so no change
It is most likely not possible, they can change things like values in the game code and stuff like that but adding stuff that was never there?
Doesn’t sound likely.
It has recently come to my attention that 343 has decided to make a title update to Halo Reach. This will change gameplay mechanics from what the are now to more of a classic halo experience. So here are some suggestions and questions for any moderator, fellow gamer, or 343 employee.
::Questions::
- what are the exact terms of the title update?
- why are you doing the title update?
- If people want to play reach but get a classic halo experience why not just make them into gametypes? It would no different then MLG, swat, slayer, etc.?
I don’t think 343 understands the magnitude of the decision they are making. Do they know why people play halo reach more then halo 3? Are they fans of the series themselves or are they a nobody industry who was handed a gold mine and has no idea what to do with it? If these changes are to drastic they could ruin everything Bungie has worked for over the last 20 years.
Again if anyone out there in the halo universe has any knowledge on this subject please feel free to post.

The update is mainly for getting reach ready for Halo cea.
I’m pretty sure the only reason why more people play Reach than than 3 is because it’s new, Just like how more people play Black Ops than CoD4. A lot of people prefer the classic style of Halo more than this crappy armor lock/bloom-oriented hybrid version.
Yes but it was stated that the gamplay mechanics were going to change
::Examples::
-no armor abilities
- melee system goes from a “two tap” to a “one a done”
I understand what your saying about armor lock because i don’t like it either. But in the case of the bloom i am a fan of it. I like the fact that noobs can’t spam a dmr, they actually have to pace there shots to get that “4shot kill”
From what I’ve heard, I don’t seem to have the reference at the moment… But the Title Update for Reach is NOT going to be a title update in the sense that everyone thinks. In all reality, the update is for CERTAIN Matchmaking playlists that they design specifically for people who want a more classic Halo experience.
In hind-sight, 343 is making the smartest decision they could by doing this… Think about it:
- One set of playlists that has a Halo: CEA feel to it.
- One set of playlists that are untouched.
343 keeps both sides of the “how broken is Reach” argument happy by making sure the people who despise it’s gameplay are happy, while still keeping the fans of the game happy as well.
No need to worry about 343 fixing things that aren’t broken. Lol.

The title update is supposed to add customization for classic elements so that the upcoming classic playlist will feel a lot more like the original Halo games. Frankie stated that if you liked Reach just the way i is you could still play it like you would pre-patch.
Don’t get me started about the bloom. It adds an unnecessary random element to competitive battles that allowed players to spam and get away with it and was poorly implemented.
DMR’s a 5 shot, by the way.
I hope that you are right Buwx

Basically, what he said. Lol.
If you hit an enemy with for good shots to the head you can take them down every time.
Either way thanks for helping me with those questions.
