In fact, Halo 5’s ping issues are greater than almost every AAA shooter on the Xbox One including Gears of War beta, COD, Destiny and even Battlefield. It’s gotten worse since launch where as other games like Battlefield went from bad to respectable connections since launch. Begs the question. What is it about Halo’s matchmaking or gameplay style that creates such bad connection issues this generation? Outside of living in a few major cities next to MS Azure servers, almost everyone else struggles with inconsistent ping no matter what search preferences they use. Only people on my friends list who don’t have problems live in Texas or Chicago.
Recent Titanfall 2 beta has re-emphasized that Halo 5 is at the back of the pack when it comes to lag and latency. It’s been a year. Will 343 ever figure this out?
There isn’t enough room in this forum for the “hahahahaha” that you get out of me for insinuating Destiny’s connection quality is in any way, shape, or form superior to Halo 5’s. I couldn’t even be bothered to read a sentence beyond that, knowing your perspective is so hopelessly and irreconcilably tainted.

But they are. My friends, family, and I have never seen worse server connection in any AAA game ever throughout the 15+ years we’ve been playing. We all played a lot of Destiny a few months back and never once did the lag or latency present itself as it does in Halo 5, if at all to be perfectly honest. Same goes for Battlefield and other AAA multiplayer titles, including the Titanfall 2 tech test.
Halo 5 has horrible servers that constantly drop and lag, and it’s not on the players end. That is basically a fact at this point, almost a year later.
Your title is wrong. If Titanfall has the better connection, it should say: “Titanfall Ping <<<< Halo 5 Ping”
Not true for me at least
I’ve had more trouble with the Titanfall 2 beta than halo 5.
Frame rate is terrible and it keeps disconnecting me from the lobby only been able to play 1 game.
Halo 5 on the other hand about 3 disconnects out of 2000 games
This is really just a matter of expeince. I know I don’t disconnect from h5 like I do with Destinys error codes, nor do I have to deal with p2p servers that CoD uses. I have played maybe 2 hours of TF2 (never played the first) so I can’t really comment on that one but it’s also not even out yet so it could improve or even get worse once it’s out for everyone. Thing is h5 servers are the best one I’ve ever used, doesn’t mean it will for the next guy as each of us will have a different experience with it. I’ll stick with enjoying h5s servers myself cuz they’re -Yoinking!- fabtastic for me.

I couldn’t care your less for your over dramatized perceptions. I don’t know anybody that has experienced so much as a persistent hiccup as it relates to Halo 5’s connection quality.
What you experience is truly a “player’s end” problem.

Wow, attitude much? And if you haven’t seen anybody complain about server quality, I recommend looking at the forums more… odd I have to tell that to a fellow ODST rank. Because it gets complained about a lot on here. So just because Jesus personally caters to your connection to these potato servers doesn’t mean everyone elses is just as dandy.

I see you blindly commenting on a lot of valid threads with that “hahahahha” response. You clearly don’t have any capability for a smart response in any thread, and you’re just dismissing people’s perfectly valid points since they clearly disagree with your personal opinion. Halo 5’s servers are fundamentally broken in comparison to most AAA games, and yes, that does include Destiny, a game which nowadays actually runs quite well. If all you’re gonna do is troll, someone will end up reporting you.

He posts a lot of garbage on these forums, never once have I seen him post anything remotely polite or constructive, probably gonna flag him to a moderator if he keeps doing it.

Hmm, I never noticed. I took a break from here for a bit and only just recently came back to browsing daily.

Wrong way round mate. Remember, the crocodile always eats the bigger value.
So did we play the same titanfall 2 beta? One of the largest complaints streaming into their twitter feed is people having laggy inconsistent connections, and the teleporting is real.

No, you’re just oblivious to how ping works. Less ping is better.

No he’s going for a greater than symbol. The way he had it was correct.
Edit: I think he means the ping is better/greater, not higher in number.
You have shown that you don’t know how to use “greater than” and “less than” signs correctly. Look at your title again, really closely.
More ping is bad. You thread and title don’t connect. You’re implying through the title that Titanfall has high ping, when Halo 5 does.
It should be “Titanfall 2 ping <<<<< Halo 5 ping”

Exactly. Ping means “time until the server responds”. The less the ping, the faster the connection.
Regional selector search preference is the fix for everyone in the world, & many people are waiting that in a update since the game launch. There is feedback but not response.
Take a look in waypoint…Brazil thread,EU… why 343 dont put for us???
