Ya know, I just about hate both UNSC precisions the same, the dmr was completely OP and I hated it sooo much, but since the update everyone and I mean EVERYONE has been running with that over used, 3 shomt easy -yoink- BR.
You know your only using it because your too lazy to try and fight them with your DMR’s. Speaking of which, where did all the DMR elitist go? “Oh i like the dmr more than the BR, its more consistant and just my style”. Where did you all go?

That’s not true. I use the BR because I’m too lazy to use the Plasma Pistol.
I totally agree that everyone should always use weapons that are inferior simply because they’re more difficult to use.

They switched to the BR when the BR became superior to the DMR in close to medium range.

Im here and still using the DMR and killing BR users with little to no trouble thanks for asking.

The BR isnt strongest. It, like all the other UNSC weapons are just extremely easy to use. Very little effort put forth to try and get a kill.

Uh because people like to get the best weapon on every game?
Lets use your logic but in reverse.
Who started the trend to just look down upon others that use the best weapons just because they prefer to use terrible weapons because they take more “skill?” sorry but putting your self at a disadvantage willingly seems kinda silly IMO.

In my opinion, they are both very decent weapons. I love using the DMR and I enjoy the BR. The only problem I have is the AR.

Probably everyone? The only reason to use inferior weapons is if you like their look and feel more. Most people don’t care what feels best; they want to win. That’s people, dude, and there’s nothing wrong with either way of approaching the game. If you’re playing to win, there’s no reason to willingly handicap yourself by using an inferior weapon. That would be dumb.

Just because something is strong doesn’t make it easy to use. And just because something’s easy to use doesn’t make it strong.
I used to use the DMR a lot, but I gradually shifted to using the LR for long range and the BR or carbine for mid-range. I’ve always liked the alien weapons more than human weapons, which is why I loved the TU needle rifle so much.
The carbine is just the latter’s true successor now, and the LR is made of pure win.
I’d be surprised if 343i cared at this point. SO many people whine about “OMG, IT’S TOO TOUGH”. Imagine a baby’s scream. Multiply it by a thousand. AND THAT’S WHAT I IMAGINE it to be like for them. We should be glad they bothered to change damage stats in the first place. Seriously, it’s a stupid tug and pull. Eventually, there’s going to be one GOD weapon, and everyone uses it, and then somebody complains that some other one’s no longer powerful. YOU WANT TO PLAY A BROKEN GAME!?

Because people care what you or anyone else thinks about them because of their weapon choice right?
I am sorry to butrst your buble but it is nature, people want to win (I have yet to meet someone that enjoys loosing) and for that they will use the tools that will allow them to win be it better loadouts, better weapons (In some games like MMO’s people spend HUNDREDS just to buy the best gear)
This is not a Halo problem, go to any game any FPS all of them have a weapons that is used the most simply because it is the best of them all.
Again people looking down upon others because they use the clearly better gun are kinda silly them selves, it is their fault that they decide to place them selves in a dissadvantage willingly.
Saying the DMR’s horrible is a step too far. It’s a bit too good for every purpose it isn’t supposed to fill, like CQC, but not horrible. They just need to make it better for long range than ANYTHING else.

I use the DMR on ragnarok, going through the carbine on medium maps until I finish the commendation. AR on small maps like solace and haven.
Different weapons work in different situations.

Then you must be new to online gamign because no matter what game you play FPS wise there will always be a weapon that MOST people use because it is the best weapon.
Its not loyalty its using the tools the game gives you to either win easily or at least compete against others on the same field instead of going for the underpowered weapons.
My statement stands strong, reduce the magnetism so these rifles actually take skill
