Can honestly say I have not had any issues with the AR so far.

Lots you just need more time to learn the spawns LR’s , BR’s and DMR’s are scattered throughout all the maps and spawn fairly frequently. Though you don’t need them necessarily as the Pistol is more than capable.

Once you get to know the maps, I’ll bet this issue dies down a touch
Guys I know you’re right I’ve just been damn spoiled since BR Starts back in the first halo 3 update. Now getting a BR is literally like getting a power weapon… worth the wait.
Also it takes some getting used but overall I honestly prefer the magnum it kills faster than the BR sure it is a bit harder to use but it is worth the practice.

True I was pretty shocked FIRST by how much more skill it took to hit your enemies and then again by how fast they died heh
The AR in this Halo is by far better than any other. Are you sure you’ve played Halo before.
The pistol is the utility weapon. The AR is a back up, just like in CE

I have… for over a decade. Not so good at the game but I know this AR takes more skill. You literally have to burst shoot it… (which is what you always should have but lets be honest newbs didn’t)
Pistol for Mid/Far Range/Combat
AR for Close Combat
Both are good Starter Weapons and now it makes sense the upgrade to other mid-tier weapons like BR and SMG etc. If BR Starts would be, if you pick one of that, it would be a downgrade, so no, they have done the right thing!
Does anyone actually drop the AR for the SMG?? Haven’t even touched that messy gun yet lol

The SMG was fun in the beta. Looking forward to trying it this weekend.

Yep depends what other weapons I have though obviously but the SMG is better IMO than the AR. It’s not OP like it was in the beat but it is the better close range weapon of the two.

The AR never has, and never will take skill.

Lots. They are scattered around the maps.
Also, you spawn with the pistol too.
The AR does take, while minima,l SOME degree of skill to execute a proper kill.
The AR in h5 is definetly OP 
the AR has never been a weapon of choice, now thats its actually usable, EVERYBODYS online usin the bullshitt… like str8 noobs -Yoink- pisses ma life off, every second of the qme im qettin shot at by a -Yoinking!- AR, hope they come out with playlist that starts us out wit a DMR, or a BR at least, that AR is -Yoinking!- trashh, and the nades are op too smh
