So i’m playing Big Team Heavies and its just crazy with a bunch of vehicles flying around and i’m cruising along with my ghost and a team mate jumps out in front of me and i get a betrayal and he boots me. This kind of accident happened a few other matches and there’s always going to be a few betrayals a match, it’s just ridiculous that they decide to boot me while I’m doing good, and that they get the opportunity to boot me after one accidental betrayal.
And now i’m sitting on a temp. ban because of a few boots that are just completely ridiculous, it should not be this easy to boot someone for one accident especially on BT heavies.

Then there’s the guys that purposely betray you multiple times and you never get a chance to boot them. I had this one chick betray me 5 times (I counted) on purpose and I never got a chance to boot her, but my friend got betrayed by her once, and BAM booted.
drive more carefully, if its asphalt and your boosting around the top floor then only boost when enemies are in front of you, drive casually when there isn’t.

This. Pretty much all you can do is just watch out and be as careful as possible. Know where your teammates are and try to stay away from them if you’re in a vehicle or have any kind of power weapon.
Oh yeah, and I can’t forget the 3 times I’ve been booted for flying the Faclon and getting lasered. If you’re flying the Falcon and get lasered, you get a suicide and betray your gunners.

Im sure that the frequency on how often you get the chance to boot someone for betraying is how often you get the chance and say no to it. The more you say no the less likely you get booted first time. Thats at least i knew how halo 3 worked and assuming how reach works.
Having a history of betrayals in previous games where betrayal booting is enabled causes the boot screen to appear earlier (i.e. after 1 or 2 betrayals instead of 3 or 4). Also, I have heard that the host can’t be booted but could be wrong about this.
I also had the same problem on SWAT the other day.
I was shooting down a hall way at an enemy when a friendly jumps out and blocks my shot giving me a betrayal and then the noob kicked me. It realy makes me mad how when I play BTB and some friendly blows up my wraith with the Sniper and I can’t kick him but when I acidently kill a wounded friendly I get kicked.

I know, i should try to be more careful but some are just unavoidable, like when my warthog gets blasted and we tumbling and roll over a teammate, or on Spire where I was driving around the loop with the ghost and no one was in sight and all of the sudden a team mate must have jumped off the top and jet pack landed right in front of me.
I think would angers me the most is that they are always one time betrayal boots and it’s usually someone’s dumb guest with 0 kills who gets to boot me. I just feel like it would be nice if the system took into account things like me having 20 of our current 60 kills and he has 1. Obviously if i have 20 kills i’m doing work for the team and so 1 betrayal shouldn’t be an insta-boot.

The host can be booted for betraying but they can generally get away with 3-5 betrayals beforehand.
