Tired of Multiplayer Music

Is it just me, or does the multiplayer music drive anyone else nuts? To me the unending ethereal, revibe sound is unsettling, and frankly not enjoyable to listen to. H3’s menu music was samples of Marty O’s greatest pieces, that were somber yet relaxing, and felt like Halo.

Infinite’s songs aren’t terrible, but after a month I was already tired of them, and when I say “them”, it really just seems to be one long guitar riff, droning on and on. Now, a year later, not only am I tired of the music, but I’m actively turned off by it. I go into HCC and hear the 20 year old music there and to this day it’s still a welcome sound.

Would you guys like to hear different music, maybe some old Bungie era stuff? Am I alone in this?

When we get a season with the Mark VI Armor core, Gen-1 or Gen-3, I think that THIS should be the main menu theme.

I actually reported this as a bug a few weeks ago. It seems like it’s so much louder than any other music and the infinite loop is maddening. Not to mention if you switch menus it just keeps going. Oh and if you search for another game it finally goes away, but if you stop the search it slowly comes back.

Internal screaming becomes External

I’ve never really liked the victory music. It just doesn’t sound very halo-esque. The normal menu and search music is great. I would very much like to hear something, anything different to replace that terrible guitar. That or at the very least just have it end once you return the menu.

I’m surprised they havent introduced some new tunes yet

Hit pause, open the credits, close the credits. Music will reset to the the campaign stuff (The Road, Zeta Halo, Endless, etc). Once you start a matchmaking search, you’ll need to do this again since searching begin the MP music loop.

Hope this helps.

You are the best. Can’t stand that generic elevator music.

I turned all the music off. The wannabe post-rock was novel but does get repetitive in a way scored music doesn’t.

If u don’t like the music then just turn it down.

As for me I absolutely love it. But I do wish more music would come out in the store or battle pass.

Makes me wish we had the Halo CE Main Menu theme for the Multiplayer Music

You want to pay extra for game music?

Iv’e been fine with it, getting fed up of same backdrops and wallpapers though, would be great for example when loading maps that there would be something different like screenshots from the map, or an overview of individual map etc, more variety

Omg right! The music is annoying and Spartan chatter is just so bad I wish they added in a way to turn these two things off and instead of having the black lady’s voice for BTB we could select Jeff’s voice instead!

No disrespect

it would be cool to customize the background and everyone joins the fire leaders place

I didn’t even realize there was music. Over the nearly 30 years of playing games online, I’ve just about perfected tuning music out of most games as it often distracts me more then anything. Well, that and when I worked retail.

Isn’t there options to just turn it off in settings if it bothers you?

I really enjoy the multiplayer music, but it definitely got old after a while. Also the entire introduction is just unnecessary. I don’t need a hype video to play the game. Just start the match.

Definitely not what I remember from my long matchmaking nights in 2-5, lot of pregame flourishes out the window. Lobby chat helped the vibe too, just a comfy hangout with chill music.

Would be so cool to have a music setting with music from past halos. ODST Jazz would slap, and you can check mark which ones you’d want to hear in the music cycle

Begins drooling at the thought of being able to listen to that sweet sweet jazz again

Oh my god yes. If they added in a menu music selection in the options and added all the music from past Halos. Including the music from Halo Wars/2. This would be so great.

I know people have different tastes but Halo Infinite’s multiplayer soundtrack sounds like you can just put it in any free to play game and it’ll fit. The sci-fi post rock just screams Apex Legends to me, but not Halo.

And that’s the problem. It’s not halo-esque, it’s generic.
