I can’t stand seeing stupid useless hate filled threads that don’t talk about problems with the game and just bash. The threads that are titled “OMG HALO IZ COD” and “WOW 343 RUINED EVERYTHING GG HALO” are pointless and are just breeding grounds for hate speech. Seriously, on every one of these threads it’s the same people commenting too, just comes to show that these haters and ranters are just a very loud, but small minority.
It’s sad too, because I know that if people stopped commenting on these threads or stood up to the trolls, they wouldn’t be creating rant-filled threads that are simply made to get to the “popular posts” section. I’m ok with people talking about their problems with the game, but when I see obnoxious threads like “here’s how halo 5 will fail” or “halo 5’s game population will drop, trust me guyz lol”, it pisses me off. The people on those threads have an irrational hatred for 343 and halo 5 and just want a copy and paste of halo 3. If you want to stop seeing these threads, stop commenting on them. Don’t feed the trolls, people.

Tons of hate and insulting for blatantly copying COD. What do we get now? ADS animations, which make no sense in terms of the canon, but is comically and ironically the exact reason 343 justifies its inclusion.

Sprint is very well balanced in my opinion, but I do think they should nerf it more by adding sprint slowdown when you get shot. There is no COD-copying. In real life, we aim down sights! Are we copying cod by doing that lol?

I’m ok with people disliking it, but these threads that have nothing but hate and bashing for halo 5. Sorry to tell ya, but not every halo can be a copy/paste, then it would be just like call of duty.

Of course, because drastically overhauling the sandbox since Halo 4 (the one game they’ve developed in its entirety) with the explicit purpose of making it more balanced and more competitive is “ignoring the cries.” It’s pretty obvious that the only way the obnoxious, vocal minority that fancies themselves the supervisors of the franchise who should be asked before any changes are made beyond the formula of their personal favorite entry would be satisfied is if 343i did nothing new at any point. As much as this is constantly dismissed as a reductive summary, misrepresenting this staunch, conservative view of the franchise, the reality is that I have yet to see critiques of Halo 5 that don’t ultimately boil down to “this wasn’t how Halo 2/3 played” and increasingly obtuse rationalizations of that fear of change and attachment to nostalgia. It is not 343i’s job to implement every demand you immature children make of them, as much as you seem to be convinced that is the case. Try a little more constructive criticism and a little bit less condescending, knee-jerk rejection of change. Try a mature dialogue instead of making demands as if they owe you what you think a Halo game is suppose to be. That would actually accomplish something other than an increasingly toxic and divided community.

Not that canon has any place in MP, nor do I care about it, but no; Spartans don’t aim down sights. That’s the point.
What’s the plan for Halo 6? Nerf Sprint even more? With each iteration, Sprint gets better and better!
Maybe by Halo 12, sprinting will cause immediate suicide and NOBODY will use it. That’ll be the best Sprint.

Halo 5 is built around sprint, taking it out means that we are taking a step back and making 343 having to remake almost the whole game. Sprint is mostly balanced, a little more nerfing and it’s perfect. Only reason why you people don’t like it is because people actually dodge your shots now, oh noes!
