I have notice a lot of people saying Warzone Firefight (WZFF) is too hard. In my honest opinion it is not that hard. Here are some tips to win Warzone.
#1. BE A TEAM PLAYER. This means using your headset and being in the game chat. Not in a party unless there are 8 of you. Even if there are less than 8 get out of party chat and into game chat. Set up four squads of two. Having a battle buddy with you will increase your chances of staying alive. This will also help with #8. After all WZFF is a PVE not PVP or PVPVE. Don’t be a solo glory hog and don’t worry about getting first place. Help your teammates. If you teammates are only at level 2 REQs but having level 3 REQs will be a bigger help pick up a random weapon and drop the level 3 REQ, this is for all REQ levels. Get permission to pick up a fallen teammates power weapon. Do this at the start of the game. If they are team players they shouldn’t mind. The goal after all is to finish all rounds. Don’t vehicle steal the player who got that vehicle maybe getting additional loadouts or armor mods and since the player that got stolen from will be mad and lose focus on the mission and will maybe enough to make you lose that round. Taking a power weapon is not that big of deal, especially since by the time they respawn and get to that location the weapon maybe gone do to the fact weapons that are drop disappear after a while.
#2. If you locate someone doing well or that aren’t greedy, compliment them and ask them to fireteam up, they might do so and now you got someone that plays like a true team player which makes the game that more enjoyable. Remember #1 is #1 for a reason. #2 will help you get #1. A team that plays well together is hard to come by and when a team plays well together they win.
#3. Taunt the bosses, on wave 5 you find yourself with no REQ since you spend it all on a tank and it got killed quick, don’t stand in cover waiting and shooting at the boss With BR be smart flank the boss and go close but not in his face, and shoot at its weakspot. This will at least do more damage and most of the time make the boss go after you leaving the teammates that still have vehicles and power weapons to hit his weakspot. Also use one of the following the Upgraded Thrusters Armor Mod or the Upgraded Shields Mod Auto-Medic armor mod. I personally like the Auto-Medic if there is cover nearby. The Upgrade thrusters are great if there is no cover nearby but so is the upgraded shields.
#4. Use wraiths against knights, if you could use an ultra it good since of splash damage and it will hit them often in the weakspot, it’s also fast enough you can escape them if they get close and dodge their Incineration Canon shot. As a reminder if you use a wraith make sure to have the wheelman armor mod. If you need practice go into Forge set up some Mongooses they aren’t that much bigger than a Knight and then spawn in a Wraith and go at it.
#5. Don’t underestimate the damage done by the AIs and bosses, always be in a possession able to dodge and counter their weapons since they will destroy your vehicle if you don’t pay attention.
#6. Don’t always use power weapons, use power vehicles too. Why? Power weapons has limited ammo. Get ghost for solider/elite/weak bosses and don’t be insanely greedy with REQs a normal or CORP scorpion will be a big help. Keep distance but don’t hide so your unprotected Spartans becomes the targets. If you are good at running things over do so. When you get to REQ 5 remember to get the Wheelman armor mod and have those who ride with you do the same. When you are not using a Power Weapon or power Vehicle and have or above REQ 5 use the Patrol Case this will give all loadout weapons more ammo.
#7. Always look for the bosses’ power weapon since it’s usually an ultra-rare or better variant and that will spare you some REQs and give you a combat advantage.
#8. Everyone should focus on the same boss, less Spartans Will die, less time spent for each boss kill and everyone will get max points from it since everyone gets the takedowns. That being said don’t forget #1, #3 and #4. The small fries can keep you from bosses and kill making it impossible to complete the round. Also do be a glory hog. If you have #1 a squad or two should go after the small fries around the bosses you are going after. When they are done with the small then go after the boss. Then move on to the next boss and his small fries if the boss is in another location.
#9. Be Flexible. You may have a favorite a loadout but it better to have a loadout weapon that is right for the job. If there are vehicles on the map us the Kinetic Bolt weapons, you may like the SMG with extend mag, but the SMG with Kinetic Bolt does a lot more damage. You also got be flexible with your armor mods. Every armor mod has it place. #10. DON’T WORRY ABOUT GETTING FIRST PLACE. WZFF is after all a team playing mod. If you worry about getting First place than you are not playing it right. It doesn’t matter. If you are in first place and lose it was all for nothing.
