Tips to try to enjoy this game?

I spent over 100$ on this(Plus the H4 special edition w/ Neil Davage’s Signature). I feel like it is unfinished crap. But this was my most hyped game EVER. I was counting the days down to it. There were so many things in the Trailers that never made it to the final game. But I feel so obligated to play it because I spent 100 bucks on it. But in reality I am torturing myself.

What can I do to have a better time? Seriously, what is something fun and unusual to do in Halo 4? I want to have a good time because I love Halo. I read all the books and have all kinds of cool Halo merchandise. I buy all the collectors editions as well. But this is by far the worst for me.

If your country still gets stable populations in Halo 3 and Reach you could chill out in those until this game is fixed (which I’m sure it eventually will be). Otherwise, you could just ignore the flaws in this game and play it without comparing it to past games (its still an amazingly skilled multiplayer game compared to other shooters). Try setting yourself challenges in war games, or if you haven’t already completed Spartan Ops, do that with friends.

You know, if this game was Reach, people would reply with something like, “Snap your disc in half” or “Light your disc on fire” in an attempt to be funny but mostly in attempt to justify their personal dislike for the game.

Play with some friends, If you don’t have any just play normally and add people that have mics/seem cool

Or you can start drinking, That always helps

Play a game you don’t like or cut your loses and learn from it. I knew better than to spend $100 on this game, but I can’t justify playing something I don’t like for $60 either. Chalk it up as a speeding ticket and watch some live streams when Halo 5 comes out to finalize your decision to buy or not.

Halo 4 isn’t Reach?

Play something else until you want to play it again.

Youre already at the souloution as I can tell from your post. For me its just realizing that its a pathetic game and taking the bad(no shortage of that) with the good.

Examples? I can’t think of anything I saw in any trailers that is missing.

I should have said things that were modified. But there was alot of music, campaign audio, spartan coloring, and several audio trailers.

Watch the E3 demo again, it sounds AMAZING. The light rifle sound was way more loud and intense. They symbol at the top right hand corner was way cooler looking. There is just to much to list. I doubt you would do this, but watch all the trailers again and you will find alot of things that were modified for the worst. But there are lots of different audio segments that have not made it to the final game

Just relax and enjoy the game for what it is. To me it’s about changing your attitude more than the game mechanics. Personally I even take joy when my enemy(s) out do me or get a wicked spree run finishing with the perfect ordnance roll to just obliterate me or my team.

I laugh when something crazy happens or say a friend drives our full hog off a cliff on purpose when we’ve just had a 4 flag caps vs. 4 flag caps for 12 minutes. It’s been a great game and that friend decides to troll us for the reaction of losing when we clearly had it won. What else are mates for? /joking

I just look at things in my mind from other perspectives and send off a “good game” message to winners and losers alike. After all I appreciate a skilled player not quitting out and still losing with their team far more than I do a spawn trapping practised team against 2 players stuck with infinite JiP’ing players in/out while they objective hold.

To me it’s all in what you make of the game. So it’s great you ask the question but there is plenty to enjoy in Halo 4 already. Again relax, play your heart out, try some unexpected routes, actions and make fun up yourself with your friends.

My brother and I used to play Ivory Tower doubles and never fire one shot at all. We chose to play with melee and grenades only, just for the pure fun of then telling the other team to look at the “shots fired” statistics in the post game report. It was too much fun.

If only my friends didn’t hate Halo 4 so much. I keep trying to get my one friend to play spartan ops with me. But he says, " I don’t like Halo 4" even though he bought the 100 buck edition. I guess I gotta find some new friends!

If you have a mic and chat with local players you’ll usually get a team going pretty quick in matchmaking. Also you can look at the recruiting forum too, joining a clan or a local clan is a great way to get friends who play Halo 4.

Playing games while your high is always fun

Indeed I meet a lot of cool people who still play on there as well. Most of the times you have to spark the talking though to really rally people up. Its fun though.

If you want to have more fun I’d suggest joining a gaming community like I have.

I always have someone to play with and we always have fun.

You can message me if you would like for more info but normally any community would suffice.

Just sent a FR

It’s a beautiful thread of bromance *wipes away tear.

In all seriousness guys’n’gals what a great community response in the thread. Well played and I hope you enjoy your games. You may even like to try and match up to play with/against us moderators (March Break, Want to play a game? thread)…

I mix it up with the playlists. Usually, I’ll play a different one after each game. That and avoid using the DMR since it’s a boring gun, imo.
