Im looking for tips to start assassination animation, i feel like 90% of the time i just do a beat down. So im wondering what am i doing wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you have “Disable Assassinations” set to off, it should be working. Maybe you just don’t hold the melee button down long enough.
To preform a beat-down just tap the melee button. Assassinations only happen when you hold your melee button on the back of your target.
Elevation is a huge factor, I have tried to test an assassination and it just didn’t work because of my elevation. There are certain set assassinations for different elevations (higher lower, etc,) though these do not always work. Also, maybe you just didn’t want to assassinate him and were too scared you would get killed. If this is the case you may haven’t held RB or whatever your melee is for long enough. You may also want to check if you have assassinations set to off. They don’t really matter anyways, they should only be used if you are sure you are safe (AFK person or just a lone wolf.)

Consensus seems to be im not holding down the melee button long enogh. My melee button is right joystick, so ive tried just pressing it, because i thought holding it wasnt working and im not sure if it makes a difference in what position the right joystick is in
