Tips to Beat Pavium Mega Turrets

I’m just wondering if there’s any effective way to handle Pavium’s Mega Turrets. They deal so much damage to my infantry and hit from so far away. Any tips would help.

Go Air

If your opponent has built up multiple Mega Turrets throughout the game on a map that has close bases like Sentry, you’re going to have a bad time. It’s near impossible to deal with that in teams if your opponent is competent, however there’s a few things you can do.
1.)Spam Air as it cannot be hit by Mega Turrets
2.)Build Shrouds to deflect the MT shots
3.)Use Teleport or others leader power methods to close the gap and focus the turrets
4.) Take advantage of the fact that they can be expensive and hit them before they have too many
5.)Cry
6.)Use cloaking abilities
7.)Use a scout as bait to draw their fire, while you attack with your main force
8.)Hit non-Mega Turret bases

Air units would be best for this. Have a mix of Banshee’s, Engineer’s and Shroud’s for the Banished and Hornet’s, Vulture’s and Nightingale’s for UNSC. Use both the Shroud’s and Nightingale’s cloaking abilities to hide your units from oncoming fire this is easier to do with the Shroud as it can move and cloak while the Nightingale can only cloak a set area. The Vultures Phoenix missiles will make short work of the shields and the turret in question. For the Banished I recommend using the forces agility and keep them on the move. Don’t hesitate to use your leader powers.

Shrouds Shrouds Shrouds

I’m not sure if people realize it, but shrouds “deflect” projectiles as well as cloak. One shroud per turret should be sufficient.

The best way to handle Mega Turrets is to leverage the arrow that points to which unit they are targeting. Simply micro this unit away from the rest of your forces. I saw metaloid or yoda do this in a stream once and have never had a problem with mega turrets since.

Mega turrets are not cheap to build so if you see Pavium building multiple Mega Turrets, odds are they don’t have the army to defend it except Some Grunts. That being the case, you may have rushing advantage as they are quick to destroy. You can also take in consideration is they are building less supplies or have few too little ways to build more specialized troops besides just Grunts, don’t underestimate the Uggouy nonetheless, and Choppers.

even mega turret hits?

Methinks that if your opponent has been able to front the time, power, and supplies to set up several mega turrets that there is a lot of wasted apm’s to be sure.

I don’t know if you noticed but it actually does not work as i tried this myself. If Pavium goes wraiths or murauders if it did work, you wont ever have enough in the first place. I’ll admit they are not a huge issue if you stay offense to prevent them from building.

LOL i have sent some units in the past as bait and it worked. Best to always pass in the direction you come from because the turret must shift directions.

Yea, that was me but that really is only useful for early game mega turrets or when they have them in low numbers. Once they get like 5 or 6 mega turrets and they have the upgrades there’s just too many to reliably avoid considering that the units you would use to break bases tend to be clunkier (locusts) and can struggle to path sometimes when they are in blobs.

MT aren’t as punishing as Seige turrets, and both need extra LOS to be effective, if you go tanks with a bunch of healers you can crush the as well.

Do you still play Cutter?

I do think Seige Turrets need a cumulative cost increase for each built. Banished defensives don’t mean anything late game suchas shield last only a few seconds and many units in game counter cloak towers. They do have more versatile Turrets but far less effective to UNSC counterpart.

Just use Nightengales smoke on the turrets.

Send in the Banshees and play Flight of the Valkyries

My best tip for Pavium is

Resign
Cry
Cry about resigning

Yes, shrouds block mega turrets. You might even be able to block 2 mega turrets with one shroud but I am not sure.

Not in halo wars 2. Not been happy with Cutter ever since they took the elephant away.
