I have been doing some amazing progress on many of my commendations, and I am very proud of it. Although I have already gotten some splatters, I still have trouble splatter the vermin! I’m usually not one for splattering, its shoot first, ask questions later with me. This is mostly due to the fact that when I use the Ghost, I can never splatter the rascals because they always jump. Anyone with this commendation have any tips to spare? From my years of playing Halo, Covenant vehicles do seem to be the best way to splatter considering they have the boost ability. I find it easier to do it in a Wraith, but who votes for Vortex these days?
Use ghost.
Approach while boosting.
Hit the brakes.
When the player is landing from their jump, hit boost again.
Use the Wheelman mod.
Aim for groups of enemies.
Sometimes they bump into each other, or simply aren’t paying as much attention in a group as they feel safer.
Look for spawners.
Try not to sit still in the ghost at all.
Finally, park on their body and give them a (queue announcer voice) VEHICULAR TEA-BAG!
If you’re going for the splatter commendation you should keep in mind a few things:
- Actively go for it. Grab a ghost or wraith at the start of a match and keep it alive while getting unsuspecting people whenever you can.
- Be aware of how you’re approaching people. Are they aware of you before you reach them? Most will try to stick you/plasma pistol you/hijack you if you immediately turn around if you miss them. If you miss, just keep on going and target someone else, rather than risk losing your vehicle.
- Be clever. If you’re boosting at someone in the ghost, abuse the fact that if you hold down on the left stick you come to a standstill. You can get some sneaky splatters if you race at someone, they jump yet you pull back, and you get them when they land.
- The armour mod from one of the specialisations increases base vehicle health and resistance to EMP’s. It’d be wise to use it when actively going for splatters.
Hope this advice helps.
Gotta be honest, the Banshee is a splatter machine, I get at least 5 splatters every time I hop in one. No one expects it so you catch them napping and by the time they realize it there’s no way they can dodge it.
Other than that, use all the Ghost tips people have said so far.
Use your head, don’t be afraid to use a hog solo, ghost on complex is easiest to splatter and you can get on top of the building near the cliff, use timing and you probably will die a lot.
Drive your ghost and don’t stop, you’ll eventually catch someone looking the other way. If they do see you, rush at them and then slow down and speed back up before they can jump again. Wraiths are great splatter masters too, let someone run up to you to try to jack you and then boost at the last second, its effective and hilarious.
Yeah the banshee is a splatter machine:
- It moves so fast that unsuspecting people will not have a chance to dodge it
- People cant jump over it like the ghost
- When people see it on their radar they usually assume its miles above them
Although you do have to be careful as unless your boosting, it is easy for people to board/stick/EMP you. Best to do it on Exile and catch people from behind
Look for people who are distracted or who are camping and likely looking down their scope so they won’t notice you on radar.

as far as i can tell, this is false. Ive heard you do HEAL your vehicle… but i havent seen anything i would call proof.
The emp reduction will LITERALLY save your life = to the number of splatters you need.

Just keep at it with the ghost, I don’t have the mod yet to help against emps but I’ve gotten so many splatters on complex, that’s a ggreat map to get em in! Almost on tier 4, would already be there if the ggame didn’t cheat me out of so many splatters -_-

use ghosts and wraiths!! I got this one by accident wasn’t even tracking it lol
I got most of my splatters with wraiths, much easier than ghosts, when you hit people they actually die. Didn’t take long to master it playing dominion. Pick longbow, vortex or exile, capture one of the wraith bases, wait till fortified, get wraith, wreak havoc, repeat.
The other good thing is that -Yoinks!- try to run and board you, just boost them and blam! Free splatter.
Following the above method, you can net 20-40 kills with wraiths per game (ESP on longbow or vortex as there are 2 wraith spawns), half of which can be splatters.

Wow, this is actually quite clever and something I might start doing 
Wheelman is a must.
Be smart. If your getting shot at drive away and come back for another attack.
